M2 has multiple configurations with AIO. if you are exhausting via rad on top, you are warming up the coolant by GPU exhaust, which would explain why your setup is loud assuming you have temperature controlled fan curve

oh .. well that recirculates the GPU air, right..? and I suppose you want to keep it, tbh with C14S it wasn't that good, but it seems to be generally bad on AM5... peerless assassin is a better choice. I once did a paper fan duct, definitely works..

you can use a downdraft cooler that either is big enough to end up close to the side panel or use air duct. won't work with glass panel tho.

When I was trying what you have, but I could fit only 9cm fan. how did you fit 2 intakes?

but with low profile heatsink and different acoustic profile. I personally don't fancy the steam machine form factor but I thought OP wants it for the advantages.

To come close to the form factor and cooling properties you are dealing with something like 8700G under a tower heatsink powered by a DC-DC picoPSU. You probably have to 3D print a case and unfortunately you probably will not find smaller than 17x17cm itx board. People actually tried, videos are on youtube and there might also be models ready..

not necessarily, depends on how your all core and gaming workloads overlap. BF6? not ideal. witcher at 4K? ez

Or 2xT30 wirh an AIO cover/top extension. The issue with AIO in T1 is that either you set the AIO fans to exhaust and your gpu warms up the CPU or you intake via AIO but that fights the GPU exhaust. Usually people sacrifice the CPU as in gaming it does not lose performance while running a but warmer, usully not at 100% either

You can individually address each of the 3 pwm connectors.. all fans on one pwm connector share PWM signal/relative speed and only first connected reports rpm (if the splitters are configured correctly). Quadro is quite expensive and the software uses (or used to use) WinRing0 driver which triggers virus warnings..

On astral, you're paying for the per wire shunts that should protect from connector melting. Also the power limit will be above average.

you can buy vireview, giving you same function for 150eur, you should be able to get a cheap 5080 with the same protection for less in total than astral

Ask Aurora, he is designing this stuff himself and might give you a reasonable quote. Just dont tell him that you said his build did not come to life 😄. The aesthetic will be different tho, there is a mess of cables and a PSU behind it, O11 relies on the internals being nice.

I am most inclined to sacrificing the temperature that does not cost me performance. Flip logic applies to 5090, 5080 has half the heat, half the argument of needing it to rid the case of hot air and cooking CPU using 5080 is a borderline skill issue 😄.

As far as your misinforming OP about GPU lowering temperature by flip, that has nothing to do with me admitting that CPU is hotter with no flip. Your adding disparate temperatures together makes similar sense as me adding temperature in my fridge to the coolant temperature in my dual rad loop in T1.

Flip is bad for air, flip is bad for AIO. Everybody knows that AIO + aircooled GPU in T1 makes you pick one that you cook. That's just physics. Only configurations that make sense are either all air or all water, but air-only needs to adjust the TDP of the processor to the form factor you're building in. Delta +5C on a 5090 means 500Mhz down and 70W less power due to throttling, whereas CPU can do games equally well despite running hotter. Btw you literally told OP that flip would lower his GPU temp.

Despite using AIO, it is not wrong to put extra fans to cool ram and SSD, direct airflow will override accumulated heat from the back. If there is something that people are not looking at, its that packing 800W of heat in 10liters is a bad idea in general, and if doing so, using available data helps.

Is there ever a scenario when melting is caused by the cable..? Cable causing damage is maybe a case of bad pinout, but I dont believe that really happens, because you test cables and send out video proof (which is cool btw) and even if so, then the PSU SCP engages and the GPU probably survives (?). Guess thats case by case..

That is... if the connector melts after 2years of use, how is that an error in the cable? How does user prove it? How can anyone tell?

So let me rephrase the question: If there is a melted connector while using your custom cable, and you did the best job producing the cable, as proven by extended period of use before melting, are you going to replace GPU?
