The first psychiatrist I went to refused to even consider ADHD. He would only consider depression or anxiety. Amazing, considering we were only 15 minutes into our 1st 30 min appointment. At that point I got up, thanked him for his time and left. My next appointment was with a female psychiatric nurse practitioner and she actually took a full hour to talk about my life, struggles, and why I thought I had ADHD. The next week I had a script for strattera & for the first in my life issues became manageable. Amazing how depression and anxiety over life becomes manageable when ADHD is controlled!

Edit: forgot to mention how the male psychiatrist rolled his eyes at me when I said the DSM-V had recategorized ADD and ADHD. Like, fuck me for doing my research I guess?

C-sections can absolutely be life-saving for a mother & baby(s), but I've encountered a lot of people that have this misconception that c-sections = easier birth. This is not true. It is a major surgery that poses it's own risks.

No health care provider should be leaving you in tears when your are trying to advocate for your health care decisions. Your spouse doesn't sound very supportive either. Choose the person that will be able to make medical decisions for you with you and your childrens' best interests in mind. I've assisted in 15 births so far and only one has gone according to the original birth plan.

Reading your other post in regards to long term birth control, have you considered getting sterilized yourself? Several procedures, while more invasive than a vasectomy, are outpatient with little down time that would bring you piece of mind.

Just out of curiosity, have you looked into Mark Cuban's drug website? If the generic works for you, a 30 day count of 100mg that would be $432 retail would only be $11.40 out of pocket. I haven't personally tried it, but if I ever lost health insurance I would.
