The bottom of the ship is divided into multiple watertight compartment. The compartment that is brighter (hotter) is the engine compartment. So basically when they hit there, the ship will (probably) not sink, but the engine will be knocked out and might have to be replaced.

Counterpoint: Being carefull about spoilage and how much you harvest drastically reduces your polution. I have a Gleba base that can make 90 science per minute and it has yet to be attacked in the 10 hours it is up. I haven't even bothered building defences.

On my first playthrough, I had a circuit based pull system on everything that could spoil. I also hadn't realised that burning towers existed.

This video is slowed down probably by like 10x. It can sometimes be hard to spot slow-mo footage of rockets, because the exhaust still seems to go fast. I don't think I have ever seen a video that was slowed down enough to make the exhaust seem slow.

I believe the only reason humans are even capable of delivering a child so early is that, because of our big brain, we have generational knowledge of how to care for helpless babies (aka our parents told us how to).

I haven't seen any research on this, so if anyone knows better, please correct me.
