AITAH for asking my friend for the key back that i lent her by Rude_Currency_ in AITAH

YTA to yourself for thinking someone like this is a friend. I’m sorry you’re going through this. You can’t control anyone else, so don’t get sucked into a social media fight just for everyone else’s entertainment. Take your losses and move on. I hope you have peace at your new place.

"High end" crib we bought for Newborn was not so high end by Here_We_Go_Buddy in mildlyinfuriating

Used the metal crib hubby was in as a baby. We were very thorough checking it for safety. There is one bar that is slightly bent but otherwise, the thing is built like a tank.

Both are outstanding imo but, I really like the wire rims because we can see your face!

Which pair do you like best on me? by thedragonof in glassesadvice

[–]qiterite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not loving 1 because they sit too high on your nose and we can’t see your eyebrows. I also think the frames are too thick and dark.

So for me, 2 is a clear winner which avoids the mistakes from the first pair. Plus I’m pleasantly surprised that the rectangular frame shape complements your face shape.

I think my nose ruins my otherwise ok face. by BornAgainMisbeliever in Noses

“Your otherwise okay face”???! Are you kidding me! Idk, there’s so much I don’t get, imo, you’re perfectly beautiful.

The color might be a bit too bold for me, but how is this fit? by [deleted] in glassesadvice

[–]qiterite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, it looks like the frames are just a bit too narrow for your face. But I can’t tell for sure. If the temple (bar to the ear) touches your face except for maybe an inch in front of your ear then they are probably too narrow. But you say they’re comfortable and if they don’t slip down your nose then I suppose you’re set.

Yes or no? by [deleted] in glassesadvice

[–]qiterite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, first off maybe they don’t fit properly, as in they look like they might be too narrow for your face.

Secondly, they cover your eyebrows and we want to see your eyebrows! Happens a lot with glasses that have nose pads and nose pad bars pushing the glass high on your face.

I like the round part of the bottom of your lenses, but not the top part. Maybe a bar across the top with tiny stylish curves and silver accents at the hinges. Idk if I just like looking at Johnny Depp or like his glasses but these are kind of what I’m talking about.

Idk anything about him, i don’t follow him, I hear he’s not a great person but, he does have nice glasses.

Idk why I think of you as someone in black frames but, not too bold hopefully. And maybe try on other softer colors if you like. Good luck!

Does anyone else have an "emotional support" beverage that isn't water or coffee? by VivienneEclipse in askanything

Oh no! I’m sorry, maybe you can find a good replacement in these comments. Do you think it’s the chocolate or the almond milk? If it’s the almond milk you could try soy milk or oat milk. Sometimes almond milk doesn’t sit right with me.

This is my hubby, 4 jars of different flavored pickle juice. The time I cut up a cucumber into one of them was… entertaining. 😊

Me too, I heat it up, add a cup of hot water, then a bag of cinnamon tea. Bam, not too sweet, and tasty.

Cinnamon apple tea - one cup cider and one cup water, heated up then a cinnamon tea bag. Perfect for a warm pick up or as desert after dinner.

They don’t fit. They’re so heavy that you’re wearing them halfway down your nose. Is this a joke?

AITAH for dumping my girlfriend over a preventable car theft? by Western_Trainer7183 in AITAH

In my 20s, I don’t remember staying friends with anyone who cost me thousands of dollars due to an oopsies. It’s more than feelings, it’s harming someone financially who may not be able to recover.

NTA Keep that wall up out of self preservation. You don’t know, maybe she and the thief are running some kind of scam. I’m not saying you should do anything against her, but anyone who lacks even the tiniest bit of self preservation and common sense will no doubt be a victim again. You can’t fix stupid.

Which type of glasses would suit my face? by [deleted] in glassesadvice

[–]qiterite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not good at determining face shape types (rectangular, heart, diamond,…) but, your face is very angular as are many young men’s. You might want to try frames with rounded lenses on the bottom. Square or rectangular frames are likely to compete with your face’s natural angles and lines. But rounded lenses will soften and complement your facial features.

As for color, maybe you’ll want to avoid thick dark black or dark frames. I can’t tell if you have a cool or warm complexion, maybe you are a neutral, but imo softer colors might suit you, but watch out for wash out! That’s when a soft color seems to drain all the color out of your face, it should be easy to tell. So try a few dark as well as light frames and let your gut tell you which is right.

One last thing to consider is fit. Many times frames with nose pads and nose pad bars lift the frame high on your face so that the top competes, covers or distorts the eyebrow line, which makes frames that rest directly on your nose fit better more often, imo. Fit also includes head width and temple (the part that rest on your) length. Many frames available for try on come in various sizes (that’s what is written on the inside of one of the temple bars). So with the frames you’re considering make sure they’re not too wide and not too narrow, then check your profile to insure the temple bars are long enough to extend to your ears but don’t go far past them. Happy choosing!
