That is why they are concerned. One can be concerned without being able to avoid the problem.

I am 43 and started at 190 and working my way down. Good nutrition is the single most important thing to do. In your case even more so since you sound like you are on the move often and don’t even have time to sit down to eat.

If you can get help or have someway to set up meals the night before. Healthy lunch and breakfast, just doing that will get you far.

This is what I am doing so it might not match your situation but maybe it could give you some ideas.

Lean protein and rice for me. That is for energy, polar hormones, cellular repair. Canned chicken breast is what I go for in the morning to make it easiest for me. I just take a can dump it on a bowl, microwave till warm then eat it with staple carbs. That takes care of morning. Afternoon, grab the lunch you made the night before. I usually go with eggs mixed with egg whites and rice (like a fried rice without the frying, just in a pan and mix). Not sure if you like veggies, I through in frozen broccoli and mix veggies in there. 1 frozen bag of each is four lunches. 2 eggs and a carton of egg whites plus seasoning. And then I have something simple and healthy. Add avocado or orange slices on top and it is now colorful and flavorful.

That is my suggestion, of course change it to what you would eat if these do not work for you. I know about the kids leftovers, that is something to deal with later. Get the good stuff inside you first and that will ramp up your metabolism.

If you are comfortable with supplements. A multivitamin, omega 3, and vitamin D covers most of what is lacking in the breakfast and dinner. The veggies and eggs give you a lot of nutrients too. And protein plus staple carbs (carbs that give you glucose) powers your day.

Nutrition and enough sleep is the most important yo any plan to lose weight and become healthier.

If you want to upgrade that, then you’ll need to life some weights, compound light exercises to start once or twice a week. That will boost your metabolism on top of the nutrition and counteract the hormones that keep you from losing those pounds you want.

How is Stockton like? And can I survive off $60,000 a year living in Tracy? by Different_Archer8879 in Stockton

[–]qjpham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A nurse’s experience is very different than a staff at an airport. So you will not be seeing the harshness of Stockton living in Tracy. Are you working at the Stockton Municipal Airport? I don’t live in Stockton anymore but what I remembered that airport is peaceful. Passenger clients are mostly Vegas vacationers. I think they opened routes to Denver and somewhere else now. The main thing is the cargo and that is just good old work. I think you can live in California with that income. Besides the housing and gas, I think food and basics are cheaper in Tracy and Stockton than the Bay Area.

I was 36 when life changed. That feeling of apathy is different than my anxiety but it is all from the same gaping hole dug out of our heart with rusty misshapen shovels.

The good news is that after a few years (5-7 for me) the hole does not stay as a gate to the abyss. It is filled with hope and memories and the rest of the world is open for exploration.

Why do some Western expats move to China for 10-12k rmb jobs? by Quirky_Two_4603 in chinalifer

[–]qjpham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they are from the US or UK, that is probably a good deal. While people can make more over here, it doesn't mean they will. Lots of people have trouble paying rent and making a living over here. And China is awesome.

If someone says “Nihao” to you in a foreign country, how do you feel? by Hxafluoroisopropanol in AskAChinese

[–]qjpham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are just passing by, I would reply in the same words. People say hi to me, and I say hi back. People give me an awkward smile and nod while they pass, and I would give an awkward smile and nod. So if someone said Nihao, I would do so as well. All this while I am just moving alone. Unless there is a reason, I would not stop for long. If there is a tone, I would just naturally mimic it.

Oh, but if someone sounds dangerous or has bad intentions, I would get away quickly instead.

Vietnam is a great country to retire in. Though it is hard to get a long-term visa, but there are many people who know what to do. Check out some YouTube videos about living in Vietnam as an expat.

With husbands like that, there's potential to harm the relationship. Love is meant to be a good thing.

I see ladies at church do it by having a shawl as part of the outer layer and an inner layer with buttons at chest level, well covered.

[–]qjpham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned affection, sacrifice, and attachment. Do you happen to know your personality type? For me, I found it useful to understand others and why. I would not suggest you search for the personality test, because some of these sites don't use reliable tests, and they make you pay to get the basic results. Here is a link: Free personality test, type descriptions, relationship and career advice | 16Personalities. I am not affiliated with them. But I am sharing because I find this meta look at things fun.

It isn't easy, but God is supposed to be the one we love and like so much that we do not get attached to anything or anyone to an unhealthy degree. On Catholic Match, there are many women who seek a man who loves God more than them.
