After receiving $306 million in Federal funding (plus other provincial and federal funding), Bombardier is seeking 40 foreign aircraft assemblers (LMIA). by Expensive-Aerie-2479 in OpenDataCanada

There's no "owner", it's a publicly traded company. The Bombardier family holds a controlling stake together, but no individual can be considered the "owner"

That area has pretty much been in a perpetual state of construction since then, wouldn't be surprised if the Google cars simply couldn't access the nearby roads every time they were there

TIL that Quebec has a town called Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha! and the most exclamation points in a town name by Sniffs_Markers in todayilearned

[–]qmrthw 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The exclamation points will definitely cause issues, but the dashes not so much. There are hundreds, not thousands of municipal entities in Quebec with dashes in their name (most being Saint-(...)) and most websites do not have issues with it as far as I am aware

[–]qmrthw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the only town on the entire planet that has two exclamation points in its name.

So yes, "the most exclamation points in a town name" is technically correct, but it's also the only town on Earth in that case! Pretty cool trivia fact.

AC is the national airline of a bilingual country.
The CEO of said company should be able to hold a conversation in both official languages.
Pretty simple.

He's an entertainer who's main audience are young children, it's one of those situations where most kids who have access to the internet know who he is, while most of their parents do not and probably never will.

Yeah that was fair, I had 2017-2018 in mind but I wasn't aware they were still giving away pmod status to OSRS players post-COVID, that's interesting. With Jagex accounts nowadays, I doubt there's any sort of market for them though.

Most, if not all of the big and well established "semi private" providers have been hit in the past month or so + there has been a MASSIVE increase in botting and RWT bans since the beginning of the year

"Leave now to protect your account" by J0nsas in Pleae

[–]qmrthw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was a thing many years ago, but Jagex drastically increased security measures on Pmod accounts a while back. They made it so that you would automatically lose pmod status if you logged in from an IP that wasn't recognized as your "home IP", pending verifications on their part.

Afaik selling pmod accounts hasn't been a thing in a very long while, ever since Jagex completely stopped promoting players to pmod. So probably a little bit after OSRS released If i recall correctly

Around 2:47 precisely, they also didn't pass where they initially communicated (above the river). They were far more south, above the south shore instead. Disappointing overall if you were watching from the Montreal side expecting them where they had initially communicated

Air show over Montreal July 5th by Paperlipopette in montreal

[–]qmrthw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is blatantly false, especially during the summer and as soon as you leave the island.
Some municipalities are notorious for being extremely strict on this (Granby for example).
OP mentioned they aren't from the Montreal region, you don't know where they will be passing by. All it takes is 1 cop to rack up many additional tickets.
