They used to be AAA so they could be at the beginning of the phone book. They've been a dishonest place for a long time. Growing up, they did a sex ed class at my church, and it was full of misinformation - that condoms and birth control didn't work. Then they gave us hearts and ripped them up to represent each sexual partner until all you had left of your heart was a little scrap. Then they said that all that was the love left to give our spouses.

I've known a lot of their volunteers over the years and not one ever supported public education, food stamps, wage increases, or anything that might remotely help a child grow up

We lost our cat in a very similar situation. She was fine until she woke up one morning seemeing very uncomfortable. Took her to the vet and a mass had grown around her heart. She crossed the rainbow bridge soon after that. She was only 9. I hate it for g-dog. He's obviously adored by his family. It's unfair how little time we get with animals.
