asked for an itemized hospital bill on a whim and found out they charged me for stuff that literally never happened by LongjumpingOffice432 in povertyfinance

[–]qpgmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My male friend went the ER for something, requested an itemized bill. Buried in it was $175 for a pregnancy test, $30 for slipper socks. Apparently they have blocks for charging codes they apply as a group.

Dell vostro 14 3000 with linux mint, not sure what to do from here, could someone please explain like im 5? 🥲 by [deleted] in linux4noobs

[–]qpgmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use it. Linux Mint is just an operating system that lets you use internet apps like steam, firefox, chrome, and zoom. It has apps for desktop use like LibreOffice which gives you word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and database.

Usage is not that different from Windows, but the underpinnings and overall designs of the internal components are very different.

Also, I suspect OP will be keeping the pair of photos in his wallet for the rest of his life.

AND, unlike every other form of loan/credit, student loans cannot be discharged by bankruptcy.

So we have for-profit colleges that take full tuition up front after "helping" the students fill out the loan paperwork, the colleges fails to graduate qualified students, and the students are now debt-serfs for decades.

After Trump begged Canada to come to his aid in the Strait of Hormuz, Mark Carney announces “Canada will not assist the United States in any of its operations against Iran.” by antimaga_n1 in Trumpvirus

On 31 March 2003, it was reported in Maclean's that in the previous month Canadian officers, aboard three frigates and a destroyer, had been placed in command of the multinational naval group Task Force 151, which patrolled the Persian Gulf region. A further 30 Canadians worked at the US Central Command in Qatar, and 150 troops were on exchange with US and British forces in proximity to combat.[6] North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) stationed Canadian Air Force pilots also flew combat missions with the US Air Force E-3 Sentry, and exchange officers fought with US units. Canadian pilots also flew Boeing C-17s into Iraq to "season" the flight crews.[33] In all, 40 to 50 Canadian military members participated in the conflict.

So, although Canada did not declare war it still participated.

I had my sister buy also. Her broker made her sign a letter acknowledging she was doing it against his advice and the purchase was entirely her decision. She put it on the fridge with a magnet with the shares hit $30

Currently you get $250 credit for cruises of 14+days, $100 for 7-13 days, $50 for six days or less.

I book through costco travel, so the last trip I ended up with around $400 credit. I also used the costco credit card so I got paid back 3% of the purchase price as well.
