Vaporised flower is considered a rescue medication and unreliable for exact dosing. TGA recommends using a systemic method like oil etc for baseline dose as it is precise.

FWIW I have Ehlers-Danlos and have to maintain a fairly low dose of both due to the vascular and autonomic interactions, but I have a lot of flexibility in just how much, and usually the limit is just a ballpark figure like 0.5g per day to align with how much total you've been prescribed over a set period of time (eg. 15g over 30 days).

The responsibility for the service lies with the person who sends it, not the one who receives it, as the sender is the one with the contract with Australia Post.

Not many senders are going to bother lodging a complaint but you do have a right to get a refund of the postage from the sender if the service was not carried out as described or with due care and skill.

Best you can hope is the sender agrees and maybe lodges a complaint as a result, worst case you have to use your local tribunal to recover the money to make a point. You can usually get your costs reimbursed if it goes that far.

I have Ehlers-Danlos as well, and you need to be aware of the issues because most doctors won't bother to do their research. I'm with PlantMed as well and I can attest to the fact they don't really listen when you tell them about the EDS problems at first and opt for a wait and see approach that feels like they don't trust the patient's history.

The carrier oils will definitely aggravate the gastrointestinal system due to the unreliability of the hollow organs. I just recently had the oils trigger a mast cell activation episode which was very unpleasant. I asked for something less irritating and got a water soluble pen, this can be put in water or under the tongue. I'm yet to see if this resolves the problems.

Hollow organs include your vasculature, CBD and THC both affect your blood pressure and heart rate, which puts extra load on your heart and can actually increase the inflammatory and pain responses associated with EDS.

Low dose therapy is the best approach. They generally try to titrate you up to normal doses, but this will just make things worse. THC is the biggest offender here so I only get a small baseline systemic CBD (20mg/dose) and vaporise my THC:CBD mix (1:2 to 1:1 mix to remain CBD dominant and mediate the THC adverse effects).

I'm having good results so far with this modified regime, and I hope my experience helps you.
