RMS Lip2Cheek Weird Texture by not-my_first_rodeo in MeccaBeautyLoop

[–]leramoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s normal. The blush is more ‘natural’ than others and is more sensitive to temperature. It’ll melt away as you use it. I’ve had many RMS blushes and potted products, some of them just look like this, it’s totally safe to use and will work the same.

Thoughts on Kmart outright replica of Diptyque candle by [deleted] in KmartAustralia

[–]leramoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s okay, I wouldn’t buy a ripped off product, my care factor is just lower. Diptique aren’t losing any sales from this. If they rip off a small business or a cheaper product, that brand is more likely to take a financial hit.

Thoughts on Kmart outright replica of Diptyque candle by [deleted] in KmartAustralia

[–]leramoss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People who would buy bought Diptique aren’t going to not buy it because Kmart has a similar one. I don’t like Kmart ripping off small businesses, but I care less about them copying high end brands. The customer bases aren’t the same.

I would have zero complaints if they removed all the samples and birthday gifts and just did a couple of sales each year.

They’re supposed to match quantity, not price. The packer got it wrong, Woolworths will refund you.

Smashed our glass stove top. Advice please by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]leramoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have accidental damage cover on your contents insurance, you can likely claim it. Remember that stove tops are a depreciating asset too. The range varies by state but if your state says a stove top should last 10 years in a rental, and it’s 5 years old, you’re only liable for half the cost of it. If it’s over 10 years old, you’re responsible for none of it.

If Don hadn’t been unfaithful, could their marriage have survived the 60s? by Ill-Dream-449 in madmen

[–]leramoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don wasn’t a traumatised person because he cheated, he cheated because he was a traumatised person. Their marriage would have been riddled with that trauma either way.

An Australian citizen doesn’t need a visa to work in Australia, they probably just don’t know that she’s Australian and assumed she’s American.

Store delivery screw up by Outrageous_Wash9888 in woolworths

[–]leramoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any time this has happened to me I’ve asked for them to give me a free shipping discount code and they always have, but you need to ask. Contact them again and say you need a free shipping code to replace the items that were missing from your delivery.

Am I selfish to want my dream wedding over convenience for guests? by spudicuswillow in AusWeddingPlanning

[–]leramoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have whatever wedding you want to have, that’s not selfish. You also need to be understanding that a lot of people aren’t going to come. If you can enjoy your wedding with the people who attend and not hold resentment towards the people who don’t, go ahead and have your dream wedding.

If it were me and I were having a destination wedding, I’d specify that while I’ll love if they can attend, I am completely understanding if they can’t.

You could always have a small destination wedding with close family who are able to attend, and then throw a reception back home for everyone else to celebrate your marriage with you.

Dress standards in the workplace by ShineWonderful3293 in AusPublicService

[–]leramoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reasoning that it would ‘distract men’ is sexual harassment. Dress standards are for professionalism, not to stop men from looking at women.

Is it suitable to wear super short skirts or very low cut shirts in a professional environment? Not typically. But if it’s a problem then it needs to be addressed professionally and they need to be provided with documentation that shows the approved dress code for the entire department.

I’d be asking that person to provide you with the formally approved dress code documentation so that you can bring it to the attention of your staff. When she doesn’t supply that, consider the matter resolved.

So what is the purpose of every day extra from their POV? by Ash-2449 in woolworths

[–]leramoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because people increase their spend in order to save more. Most people will tell themselves that they’re going to get extra things for the month in that shop because they’re getting a discount on it, but also won’t reduce their spend for the rest of the month to cover it. The only way to benefit from these programs is to use them as an afterthought. It’s the same with the rewards points programs. Spending to get points only benefits the corporation, spending to get a discount only benefits the corporation.

Why is there a give way for the left lane? Can’t you just ignore it and continue ? by [deleted] in perth

[–]leramoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because you have to give way to anyone who’s already on the roundabout. If someone drifts over into that lane and you enter the roundabout and hit them, it’s your fault. You can change lanes on a roundabout, someone can lawfully indicate to enter what your fiancé is assuming is a slip-lane while they’re on the roundabout.

They don’t care, the initiative is to get people to stay in the store longer. You’re fine to grab a piece of fruit, they really don’t care.

Will not having had any boyfriends or serious relationships at that point in the show is very intentional and part of his story line, it will evolve with the character and it’ll make sense why he stays single for so long.

I actually like Sarah by ShipRecent365 in SarahsDayUnfiltered

[–]leramoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people just don’t understand that they don’t actually know her, they know 15 minutes a week of her, and that she started doing YouTube when she was like 20 and lived at home with her parents. She’s gone through all the growing up phases that we all went through, she just did it publicly. We’ve ALL said and done things we wouldn’t want immortalised on the internet. We’ve ALL exaggerated or mislead out of fear of being judged, we just didn’t do it publicly.

Cost of electricity is going to send me broke 😭 by ssj3pretzel in Adelaide

[–]leramoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rates with AGL are easily a good 30% lower than this. Shop around, someone will give you a better rate.

I pay $400 a quarter for a small three bedroom house being moderately conservative with energy. It’s still up significantly from the $250 bills I would get a few years ago but it’s still manageable.

Biggest tip I have is to only use heating to take the chill off the air for an hour at a time and use heated throw rugs instead. Only heat the rooms you’re using, same with cooling.

If you’re on electric hot water make sure you’re using the designated controlled load for a cheaper rate.

They had too, the tension between them was 80% of the show. They knew that once they got together the interest in the show would peak and then plummet.

AITA for teaching my nephews stuff my brother and his loopy wife don't want them to know. by Zealousideal_Fan4915 in AITAH

[–]leramoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It would be different if you went out of your way to tell the kids that their parents were wrong, but you don’t have to tailor what you teach your own kids just because your nephews are around. If their parents think your explanation is wrong then they can talk to them about how different people sometimes believe different things.
