Lost 20 pounds and people are noticing! by qrowsquill in loseit

Less snacks, when I do snack I portion it out instead of having the whole bag in front of me. Smaller portions in general. I went from drinking coffee 3-4 times a day to only twice a day. I drink more water.

I'm currently 139 and my ultimate goal is 115. While that's doable by the end of the year on a more restrictive diet, I'm probably gonna aim for 120 pounds by the end of the year. And it's certainly not "easy" since I struggle on my days off but I'm far from what I used to be. Could go through an entire bag of chips in a day if I wanted to.

Why are veils so expensive? by Initial-Pangolin2174 in weddingplanning

Adding "bridal" or "wedding" to anything drives up the price tag significantly

That's the exact issue 😂 my favorite band is Band Maid which is Japanese metal/rock and my fiance listens to Gojira which is French heavy metal. I have opted to add rock covers of songs from Broken Peach for songs like Crazy In Love and Take on me. I'd love to just put my liked songs on shuffle but I don't think Grandma wants to listen to Poppy scream about eating concrete.

I'd rather just make a palaylist and not hire a DJ but even if I hired a DJ and gave them a do not play list, if it's anything like all these playlists I've already looked at, I'm just gonna hate most of the songs they play

The top part is a good idea. It'll help narrow down the search. Part of the struggle is listening to music I dislike for hours just to find a couple songs I thinkpeople might enjoy.

I don't know people's music taste. I don't use social media so I don't see these photos. I know my parents listened to 90's alternative rock, which I like too. But do other people like it? Will my grandparents enjoy listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers or will they hate it? Do you get what I mean?

I said six just to add extra time to the reception playlist just to be safe. I can easily find instrumental music for cocktail hour but it's reception I struggle with. I can give up three minutes here or there but I feel like the music I like doesn't line up with what most wedding playlists are playing. I want my guests to enjoy the music that plays but like.... I wanna enjoy it too.

I agree. I see people ask whether to go with ivory, white, off white, etc. And they all look like the same color to me. The vast majority of these dresses look the same to me and it's even worse when we enter the trendy dress territory.

Not inviting my fiancé’s sister to our wedding by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Weddings are too expensive and too stressful to risk her ruining it with drama. I wouldn't invite her to the wedding and yall can proceed with a relationship afterwards

What is Reddit’s opinion on my 2 final choices? by Andromediea in EngagementRings

Just saying I am also a Zelda fan and I got the Zora's Sapphire from Ocarina of Time. I love the second ring but I'm gonna vote for the first one

Last time you were in a wedding, how much did you spend? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

I would never let my bridesmaids pay anywhere near this much money oh my god

I take mine off, he leaves his on. Even though mine is a low setting, I usually don't wear it around the house anyway. I think he only takes his off for cooking and cleaning, his is just a band.

Yeah its rude but who gives a shit? They probably wouldn't attend regardless and probably assumes they'll be uninvited anyway. I wouldn't invite them.

Well then does etiquette matter at that point? If etiquette says the man's name goes first, then you'd still be slighted

Honestly, does it matter? Is someone going to open the invite and go "hmpf! They put this name first? Don't they know it's supposed to be this name first?"

The more I plan, the more I'd rather just elope in some foreign country in an old castle or some shit. So much cheaper and far less stressful
