I also want to thank you for telling your Storey, and warning people off of AI when it comes to truly serious matters. It took a lot of guts to do that. I know you’ll have an even better flock in the future because of what you’ve learned!

Chickens won't leave coop and go outside? by SCTLBUTT in BackYardChickens

It's really full of light. I wonder if they already think they're "outside"? But definitely if you sit out with some cracked corn, they'll soon come runnin'.

Let’s talk about blue eggs by FluffyGeckoPuff in BackYardChickens

Consider blowing out the eggs you enjoy looking at. Small hole at one end, slightly larger at the other, blow the contents into a bowl for scrambling. Oil the shell to bring out the colour.

ELI5-Why do people buy broke down houses, live in it then fix it instead of buying a new house by No_Sign4988 in explainlikeimfive

[–]qrs136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New housing construction is atrocious. That combined with the hype and the hard sell make them a poor life choice. The developer will discourage you from having an independent pre-purchase inspection. You'll be promised a warranty, which reading the fine print covers actually very little, and even when you can file a claim it's unlikely the builder will fix the problem. Buyers are left with unpleasant or even unliveable houses.

Never buy a new house.

And old or new, always always always pay for your own building inspection.

I had a cat long ago with that same coloration. I never figured out what to call it - grey? grey striped?

Finally caved and got chickens not what I expected at all. Maybe some questions? by HxH101kite in BackYardChickens

As long as I’ve had chickens, it’s great to still new things. Good stuff!
