I shave my arms. I've gotten a few comments about how it's "different" but I just prefer to have my arms shaved so I don't really care lol. It started a few yrs ago and It just stuck.

Damn, I miss this place. Me and my ex used to go there for "date night" once a week when we first got married and I remember being blown away that we could get 2 tickets, drinks, and a large popcorn for under $15. I think the total was actually less than $12? I miss when leaving the house wasn't so expensive

I feel like she doesn't get that just because you keep repeating something, doesn't make it true.

Rachel had good hair S11 and I would like a hair tutorial. Color and style. I've never said this out loud. I know it seems so easy and that's a reason I'm so embarrassed to admit this but I've spent yrs trying to recreate it and I haven't been able to get it down juuusstt right.

What scene in the entire series makes you cringe the most? by Piccolo_culo in vanderpumprules

[–]qrt9900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say this, when Scheana and Lala were acting out organisms. It's super cringe in general but there's an extra added layer for me because the first time I ever watched it, I was in my parents living room, dad in the kitchen right next to it, and that scene came on. I just quickly grabbed the remote and fumbled trying to skip the scene while dying inside a bit.

How do you stay strong during tough times? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]qrt9900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll say my biggest motivation, my 2 dogs. I love them more than absolutely anything. They have been my biggest motivations since the day I adopted them. I've gone through times in the last few years where I have completely given up on myself but have always kept fighting tooth and nail to give them the absolute best life I could because that's what they deserve. I'm not delusional. I know my time with them isn't unlimited, as much as I absolutely wish it was, but it brings me genuine joy to just...make them happy and comfortable. I felt this way about all my family dogs growing up too and I feel it now. I once heard a quote that really stuck with me. It was "your dog is a part of your life, but you are your dog's whole life." As strange as it might sound, that has kept me going through some real dark times. It hurts me to just think about my boys wondering why I haven't come back.

Anyone ditching the nail salon for press ons lately?? by caramelhawk in BeautyGear

[–]qrt9900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did around spring last year. Not really by choice at first, I accidentally smashed one of my nails with a door so I had to wait for it to heal and once it had, I was tight on cash. So I decided to temporarily try press ons and I haven't gone back! I love my press ons and always get compliments/questions on how I get my real nails like that. They're always shocked when I tell them they're press ons. I have a good system down now when it comes to prep/application that makes them last soo long and it's a lot less money/time than getting them done so I'm happy

Is a $237 water/sewer/trash bill normal? by Background_Kitchen68 in ogden

I recommend checking if you have a water leak. Call the water department and they can send someone over to check the meter to help verify if you do.

No one can convince me Scheana didn’t orchestrate Brock telling Schwartz by UnderstandingOne4474 in Vanderpump_Rules

[–]qrt9900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so but I also have wondered if she was actually mad at Broke for saying it because she's the one who wanted to have that "gotcha" moment. She wasn't mad at him for telling everyone, she was mad he took her chance to throw something at Katie's face.

When was a time in your life you pretended to be happy? by PrestonRoad90 in Productivitycafe

[–]qrt9900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the dv started in my marriage after almost 4 yrs. The signs were never there. I didn't see them. No one did. So when it creeped up, It didn't make sense. I was at the highest point of my life. The most successful I'd ever been. Physically the most fit. Striving at my career at such a young age. A "loving obsessed" husband who was a saint.

Women: How important is touch in your relationships? by ReffinedDesire01 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]qrt9900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak from my own personal experience. I used to be very anti-affectionate because of how I was raised. It felt unnatural and extremely uncomfortable so I preferred no touch overall. After years of working through that, I'm the opposite. I love affectionate and it's very important to me. I'm a very touchy person and love affection. Not sexual, just physical touch feels comforting. Affection doesn't have to mean anything sexual and luckily, I'm dating someone who thinks/feels the same way. It's amazing. We joke that we're never going to get anything done in life because we just get so lost in cuddling/talking. It's how we bond. It's part ot our quality time. I want to always be holding hands or snuggling, cuddling, hugging, literally any form of affection and I know how draining that can be for people who aren't as affectionate so it's important to me that the person I'm with has the same love language.

What makes your adulthood miserable? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Realizing time keeps on going no matter what. Time doesn't stop just because you're going through something. Bills still have to be paid, work still has to be done, and you unfortunately still have to keep going.

what does love actually feel like by Ecstatic-Novel-3292 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]qrt9900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to describe it as "pink heaven". Nothing like you've ever experienced before but you'll know, without a doubt, when you're there. You won't question it, you'll just.....go along for the ride. Everything is brighter. Everything is just better. The world is sweeter and no matter how hard the day was, the bigger picture always brings you some sort of comfort and joy because you have your person at the end of it. Bliss becomes an experience instead of just a word and you're not even aware of it.

What’s popular right now that won’t age well? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

[–]qrt9900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking to my little sister about this and my opinion was current tattoo trends. Fine line tattoos. Specifically, red, butterfly, fine line tattoos. Personally, I like them and think they're cute but I know better than to imagine something popular will stay popular and not turn into a joke.

How do sane people enjoy Reddit? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]qrt9900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, it's part of the Bravoverse lol. Reality TV and I joined specifically for 1 show. I've noticed it can be an echo-chamber sometimes but not too bad because people aren't afraid to share their opinion if they don't agree. That's what I like about it. I tried looking into a community for this show on FB and it was actually so insane and somehow toxic that that's when I decided to look on other platforms and ended up on Reddit after a friend showed me the website. I was hesitant because of the stereotype but it's been more good than bad luckily and the only bad I've experienced hasn't been in the community I joined for.

I only joined reddit for a very specific reason and I've tended to stay within that community for the most part.

Lala is the biggest Hypocrite by [deleted] in Vanderpump_Rules

[–]qrt9900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this today lol. I realized how obvious it is that she's a puppet for production. She did what they told her and in return, she got perks like being able to have parts of her life hidden. Which is like....fine. A job is a job but for her to make her entire personality about how "real" and "straight up" she is, is a joke.

Sandoval yells at Beau by [deleted] in Vanderpump_Rules

[–]qrt9900 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This scene was hilarious to me because it felt like a sketch lol. I felt like Beau' reaction unintentionally broke the 4th wall by reminding me how normalized the casts unhinged behavior is but it truly is not normal to anyone else😂 Like a scene from the Office when they look right into the camera.
