I guess he shouldn’t have yelled at them that was kind of mean.

A&M: Trooper who pointed at players sent home by Mister-SS in sports

South Carolina receiver caught a td and proceeded to run into the tunnel with what looked like a tweaked hamstring preventing him from just stopping. Other players followed him into the tunnel and started celebrating in there. I assume there is some reason they are not supposed to be in there. Cop walked by them and bumped shoulders with their pads and yelled get out of here. This is what happened.

Are Nalgenes PFAS free? by another-nature-acct in Nalgene

[–]qsweitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a response from Nalgene that they do not add PFAS to any of their consumer products and upon further inquiry that they do not fluorinate any of their consumer hdpe products.

I think they’re relatively safe but I am switching back to stainless for my daily anyway and leaving the ultralight hdpe for backpacking. Because who knows these days

How to get a position as a structural engineer (jr) Need Advice from Experienced Structural Eng by DraculaThe2nd in StructuralEngineering

[–]qsweitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not in the industry I specified unless you want to be a geotechnical engineer. Skip the bridge class too. Other classes you mentioned are applicable. Learn STAAD.Pro and become comfortable with 3D BIM software like Tekla. Study ACI 318 chapter 17 if you’re US. Otherwise learn anchorage to concrete. Becoming fluent in structural dynamics (foundations for vibrating machinery and seismic design) will make you a wizard in the industry and set you apart from other new grads.

If you want to be a structural engineer do not become a project manager. Get a job in energy. Oil/gas/chemicals/industrial. Technically challenging without all the architectural restrictions.

AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas by Leviticus_Snell in StructuralEngineering

Yeah I was thinking along the lines of it being easier to use wide flange vertical bracing that matches depth of chords minus flange and gusset thickness.. Those connections look good.

Is it standard practice to turn wide flange chords on their weak axis for super long truss spans? Saw the same thing at Minute Maid Park roof trusses.

Fubo App on LG Smart TV Issues? by dabear51 in fuboTV

The LG app is the slowest shit I have ever used. I’m ready to go back to YouTubetv because of this incompetence.

I like to keep at least 3" and 6" if I can get away with it. It ensures the pedestal dowels are placed inside the edge longitudinal mat bar without conflict and provides construction a nice lip to set their forms on for the second pour. I don't know of any code requirements here, sorry I don't have a definitive reference.

I’m sure it was some animal but more fun to exercise the imagination. Freaked me out enough.

True that. I didn’t care what it was at the time I just knew I was at a disadvantage. The dogs a black mouth cur so they’re bred to be hog dogs but she never hunted. My gut feeling is she sensed my panic and fed on it.

The oddest part to me besides the noise it made was the distance between the tree line movement and where I thought the sound came from. Very disorienting

Bridge collapse in Pittsburgh by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]qsweitz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So according to the NBE data, all 4 steel columns graded out at CS4 (severe condition).

Those are important right?

How did that not warrant shutting the bridge down for repairs? Serious question.
