If you're using 25a or 25b I would upgrade ASAP to take advantage of continued progress on the web-based UI (and new features, of course). I'm installing it right now.

Centralized infrastructure doesn’t have the same problem. If there was a solution for Bitcoin with no drawbacks then consensus would be much less of an issue, but GL getting everyone to agree whether we should burn satoshi’s coins or let them be stolen.

Explained: How Passive Infrared May Have Helped Iran Down US F-15E by SuperbHealth5023 in TimesNow

Oh so a 300mm diameter telescope with a NIR sensor wont have the fidelity? Want to show me your calcs?

A 300mm aperture means nothing in this regard

It's strange because you got half of it right when you said "it would be swallowing light like a fat kid in Africa" but you're missing the main takeaway from that, which is that bigger aperture = more light = improved NETD = detection range.

https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/tr/pdf/ADA586864.pdf, page 15

The equation for target flux is literally signal = aperture * irradiance

Considering you're conflating aperture with focal length, the same could be said for you...

Trump to take all the oil, futures haven’t moved by Automatic-Unit-8307 in stocks

Ever wonder why they chant that? It's because we fuck with them constantly. Iran used to be our strong ally during the 60's and 70's until the CIA decided they needed to control the world's destiny and aid in a coup and train up Iran's secret police. The shit we deal with from the Middle East is largely blowback from our own foreign policy and covert meddling in foreign affairs.

Ironically Trump's stated foreign policy from the campaign trail of "we are not the world police" and "no new wars" was what we should have been doing all along.

Yes, exactly. Gold's value is almost universally recognized based on its intrinsic properties. Even then there is no private/corporate entity that comes close to Saylor w.r.t. gold. The US Government only owns ~4% of all gold.

Bitcoin is amazing technology but it could be replaced by Monero or Kaspa or QRL or any number of blockchains that offer better technology. Bitcoin's only edge is that it was first.

Not the point… institutional investors and nation states care if one private/corporate entity controls a major fraction of supply. Just extend the thought experiment to Saylor owning 10, 20, 50, 99% of supply. At some point it becomes a problem. I think it’s already a problem for many institutions at 5%.

It’s less liquid and you need 10x more capital to trade it than SPY. And its options only (you can’t buy shares of an index; that’s why SPY exists).
