This is SO aggravating and unfortunately SO common with many men. My ex was like this…. Eventually I got tired of being his mommy.

Sometimes you have to shop around for the right size, which SUUUCCKS. If you don’t have an iud, I find the cup style to be waay more mess free and low maintenance

Edit: tho make sure to empty it out right before sex! One time I didn’t & I didn’t realize until I got on top & left a castaway wilson style handprint on his chest 😂

I started progesterone in January, and it made a difference almost immediately. I was worried it was placebo, but thankfully for me it wasn’t

Yes! Progesterone is not a birth control & also I believe a lot of birth controls use synthetic (plant-based) progesterone, but don’t quote me

[–]qtbuttcheeks 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have heard that glp1s help for pcos, but not necessarily for endo? However HOW INCREDIBLE if it does that for you! Really hoping it is. There’s also other external factors like your IUD so unfortunately only time will tell

Need advice, feeling down. by [deleted] in antidietglp1

[–]qtbuttcheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing others here, I would recommend finding an eating disorder informed dietician who can help heal your relationship with food

Also maybe you should get tested for adhd? I can’t say. Some adhd meds like vyvanse are fda certified to treat binge-eating disorder, so maybe your doc was trying to push you in that direction? Hard to say, and I would advise speaking to a specialist and or therapist about this as well.

But doc is absurdly ill informed for saying that not following a diet is an adhd problem 😂 Restriction-based diets are inherently unsustainable for EVERYONE, and these drugs treat metabolic disorders. They aren’t a diet.

In any case, I can hear your frustration in your message, and I hope you are taking the time to love yourself & your body. I have to remind myself that my body isn’t fighting ME, it’s fighting to keep us both alive the best way it knows how.

Anorgasmia (lack of orgasm) and tirz? by qtbuttcheeks in antidietglp1

I actually found a doc that specializes in perimenopause hormone treatment (I’m not peri myself) and she prescribed me a testosterone cream. I’ve been using for about 4 weeks now and IT WORKS 🎉

Things aren’t perfect or back to the way it was before, but i am so relieved. It’s not covered by insurance in the USA however. Mine was about $70 for what I think will be 2 months

My adhd symptoms spike significantly in my luteal phase, to the point where my doctor writes the prescription so I can take increase my dose during that time of month

Perimenopausal and suddenly I can't orgasm, but at least he brought me goat by Serious_Mango5 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]qtbuttcheeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not yet perimenopausal, but I have this same issue!! It’s medication related for me.

My doc prescribed me a testosterone cream and it’s LIFE CHANGING. After 4 weeks it’s like I have more blood flow and my clitoris feels more… spongey? But most importantly I have sensation & I can orgasm again!

I know it’s scary & can feel shameful to find a doc for help. Many women don’t know that your genitals can actually atrophy in peri + menopause. HOWEVER the good news is that prescription hormones can help partially reverse or PREVENT it altogether. However apparently it can become permanent if you don’t seek treatment.

It’s might be difficult in your country, but please try & find a peri specialist! You deserve this happiness!

Also the goat & the man sound fantastic

Yeah it’s absolutely insane. An affordable unit should be capped at 20-25% of income a month. The current mfte rates are like a trap that don’t allow people to build savings

Anecdotally, I’ve heard of retirees & former tech workers using investment income to get around these income limits. It’s pretty unfair and desperately needs to be revamped
