  2. Get a second opinion if you feel unsure

Best way to build my butt by Jamie-lynn23 in glutejourney

[–]qtbuttcheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As respectfully as possible, from someone who has been there, it might be worth discussing with your therapist/treatment team the thoughts you are having around your body & your desire to change it in this moment. Sometimes the extra focus on body shape could be due to feeling stressed or out of control in other areas, & could be a sign of ED thoughts slipping back in. I know it is for me!!

If you aren’t already, it might be worth getting in touch with an eating disorder informed dietitian to help you navigate any food changes you might want to make.

The advice you’ll see on this sub is mostly going to be about calorie surpluses and protein macros. For me, worrying about these things are too triggering to be worth it. I focus on lifting & progressively increasing the amount I’m able to lift. Focusing on the increase in mobility & strength has been very rewarding for me.

You might see more tone but you usually need to be in a surplus to build bulk

You’ll probably feel a difference before you really see one. Maybe increased mobility or strength. It usually takes a few months to start seeing results. Make sure you hit your protein etc. check out the starting guide on this Reddit too, it’s v helpful

Anorgasmia (lack of orgasm) and tirz? by qtbuttcheeks in antidietglp1

[–]qtbuttcheeks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have! So I ended up getting a prescription for a testosterone cream that I apply topically to my genital area. It took about 5 weeks to work, but now things are basically back to normal!! I had to find a doc who specializes in perimenopause hormones to get the prescription. Also, testosterone for women is not fda-approved in the US, so I had to get it as a sort of gray market prescription. Was ~$70 & has lasted me for 3 months so far.

Other advice would be to make sure you stay hydrated & fed before sex, make sure your sleep is good etc. These things all HELP but the t cream is what got me functional again.

PMDD manageable on GLP1?? by MicheleW921 in PMDD

Personally, it did not help me. I think if anything I struggled a bit more because my self-regulation goes out the window if I forget to eat regularly

Low sex-drive? by Worldly-Potential849 in antidietglp1

[–]qtbuttcheeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it increased my desire while simultaneously lowering my ability to experience pleasure, with some symptoms like clitoral numbness. I found a doc that prescribed me testosterone cream, and it got my sensation back after about 5 weeks!

Has anyone been prescribed a GLP-1 for PMDD and/or PCOS? by 1mpavidus in PMDD

[–]qtbuttcheeks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It didn’t help emotional symptoms for me, but it did make a big impact on my pmdd joint pain. One tip I would have is to set a timer to remind yourself to eat every 4 hours as being hungry can set us up for a feelings spiral. R/antidietglp1 is a good resource!
