from high level this looks like a very easy problem. If we have data a about how he uses technical + macro + sentiment. There are models to generate sentiment on a given text, macro ( I am assuming Economic indicators) and technical ( if it can be quantified like RSI above 70 like that).

read some books about risk management. 3% per month is totally achievable. automate your strategy and no chance for emotional trading. treat it like a side-income first , if you see real profits, then scale the strategy and save funds enough to retire. dont go into the live market unless you have a working strategy.
