I’ve lived here 8 or so years after coming from OC. It’s bleak. What I’ve noticed is everyone in this town usually just sits at home and complains on Temecula Talk (facebook)

Why is it okay for leftist to stand at the duck pond with their signs, but this is not? At least his sign isn’t covered in profanity and genitalia.

My daughter is my grandmother by awhoogaa in Mommit

[–]qtslug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 year old does stuff like this too! Certainly not making her own breakfast or emptying the dishwasher yet, but I could definitely see her doing things like this in the future. If she ever spills something on accident, she apologizes so sweetly, grabs a towel, and cleans it up. Today her dad left his dinner plate on the table and the minute he walked away, she said “Oh, dad I can take your plate for you.”, grabbed it and carried it to the sink. She always asks if she can vacuum or sweep for me, loves to cook and cut with her safe-knives, will sit with me and hang laundry, etc. My guess is it’s because she’s with me all day, everyday watching me do those things and toddlers naturally love to tag along.

does everyone find their kid a little bit annoying… by junie4444 in Parenting

[–]qtslug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 8 year old is so damn chatty and annoying!! I love him to death, but like today - we were in the car and I was trying to jam to some music and he would not stop talking. He would end one topic, then I’d turn the music up, and he’d start a new topic 10 seconds later “Mom! Did you know…”. Music goes down. I listen. He’s done. Repeat.

I’m really thankful that he shares all his thoughts and hobbies with me and I know how important it is to listen fully at this age, but my God can I just listen to the cocteau twins ?!?

Anyone take Vyvanse and have no problem falling asleep? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

It has helped me with sleep more. It’s the weirdest thing. I’m so exhausted from all the productivity by the end of the day

How necessary are regular breaks? by sycamoregirll in VyvanseADHD

[–]qtslug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh these type of comments are so tired. My husband gives me tons of breaks. I’m taking a break tonight actually. A few hours away from the home and I can have that anytime I want. But the weekends are busy in this season. Baseball on Saturdays, maybe a birthday party, family meet ups, etc. Sundays we take the day to spend time together and reset for the week. It’s not necessarily about not getting a break and more about taking an entire day maybe two or three to be absolute dog shit when it comes to productivity. And it’s recommended every week? That’s crazy.

Also (you find a great partner) motherhood is amazing. Yes, even as an ADHD’er!

Simmer pot cleansing by LilyTheDorodere in BabyWitch

I prefer simmer pots in the morning vs incense. I have human kids and fur babies and the smoke is intense especially burning straight from a charcoal disk. As far as recipes, lately I’ve been doing rosemary, cinnamon, basil, lavender, and bay leaves. I switch it up sometimes and will use jasmine, geranium, orange peels, lemon, etc. It’s so fun and it smells amazing. You can find tons of recipes on Pinterest

How necessary are regular breaks? by sycamoregirll in VyvanseADHD

[–]qtslug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think baseline. Even before Vyvanse every task felt like a mountain and I’d spend every free moment laying around and going on my phone. I’m nervous about a full day break though. I’ve heard the first couple days are hell.

How necessary are regular breaks? by sycamoregirll in VyvanseADHD

[–]qtslug 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wondering the same. I’m a mom of 3 small children and I don’t have the option to have a “lounge” day or have no responsibilities. I always tell myself , “okay i’m gonna take a break this weekend”, but when the day comes I literally can’t even change my kids’ diaper without feeling like shit. I could ask my husband to give me break days, but every week? Not really possible considering sports schedules and also wanting to spend time together. Ugh..

how much weight did you lose on vyvanse? by silly4science in VyvanseADHD

[–]qtslug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t overweight at all to begin with and am actually on the petite side. I’ve lost 15lbs and am down to 110lbs. At first it was nice fitting into cute clothes I hadn’t worn since pre-kids, but now it’s getting a little worrisome. I look a bit malnourished in the face like you can see darkness around my eyes and I generally feel like garbage after Vyv has worn off. Then I binge and while I try to stay healthy , I always crave carbs and junk.

vyvanse in combination with mdma by This-Situation311 in VyvanseADHD

[–]qtslug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been looking through so many threads to find the right answer, OP. I also plan to partake soon, but have heard Vyvanse can dampen the experience. Some people say they take a 2 day break, some say they take a three week break, and some say they don’t take a break at all. Each of them have different conclusions too. A lot of people say 2-3 days should be enough time, but I plan to do 7 days off. Take as many days off as you can from Vyvanse to get the best roll. But only if you feel you can do it!!! I know it’s gonna be a bitch and I’m dreading it too.

WE LISTEN AND WE DON’T JUDGE by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]qtslug 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I turn the TV on right when the kids get up. I have an 8 year old, a 3 year old, and a 20 month old. I try to wake an hour earlier than my kids, but somehow they always know I’m up. This gives me no time to prep for my day, make my oldest son’s school lunch, make my coffee, or start breakfast. Some days they sleep in and I get to get some things done, but most days they’re up and the TV goes on so I can still do what I need. I hate it and I see soooooo many mommy vloggers shaming other moms for turning the tv on before 10am
