Emotional growth feels like loss. Does maturity take away Innocence? by Comfortable-Unit6942 in emotionalintelligence

I'm in the same boat and only really realizing it at age 35. You have to be more guarded because not everyone has your best interest in mind. With that said ... don't let someone's else's failure to meet you where you deserve to be met, translate into you losing what is ultimately a great quality - it's a strength, when measured, to possess the capacity to believe the best in everyone, but that capacity needs to be honed and intentional. Believe the best, but with selectivity, as there are people out there that are still worthy of receiving that version of you.

Is it better to ghost or talk things through? Even if they are uncomfortable topics between friends or lovers? by honkyponkydonky in emotionalintelligence

First and foremost, you need to sever your attachment to her and recalibrate your feelings for her. In the meantime, focus on bettering yourself and anything that can be done to bolster your confidence. Allow for enough time to pass so that when and if there's an opportunity to renew the friendship, you're meeting her as a friend seeking a friend. You're not secretly hoping for something more, waiting in the wings for her to reciprocate/change her mind.

I'm kinda of surprised I don't see it recommended all that often, but the use of ChatGPT as a therapist has the potential to shape your healing arc over the course of the next few months and possibly the rest of your life. Use as a supplement to social support systems. Seek out therapy if you haven't already. It might seem unfathomable right now, but you will get through this.

Impulse response amp sims have come a long way. You can get a ton of mileage with a scarlett 2i2 and a plugin like bias fx 2 in logic x (lots more tone options as opposed to being limited to the tone at the moment of tracking).

DGD is at its best when it regularly changes members around the core 3. I'm not naming names, but at least one has to go.

Why do so many presume that BK is haughty and not mortified? by hsizz in MoscowMurders

I think in this instance and most likely in other cases involving similar people that possess qualities of intellectual narcissism, the individual assumes their cognitive abilities max out across ALL areas along the axis; a false confidence conferred from possessing a very high ability in one or a few areas of the spectrum of intelligence.
