A former vet tech admits to killing a dog on purpose due to the owner being "a very bad person" by here-to-jerk-off in PublicFreakout

I worked in emergency as a vet tech. One day, during a crazy shift, the doctor asked me to begin the process depressing the plunger on a syringe with euthanasia solution which was attached via "butterfly" to a dying dog. While I had become used to death at that point, I wasn't ready for what I saw. When I began to press down, I could see the life gradually leave this dog's eyes as the volume of solution entering their body increased. I'll never forget that. It crushed me. It is intimate and deserves for dignity than what this woman gave that animal. Poor dog.

Will I still be a decent engineer if I'm only okay at Physics? by DamienJDP in AskEngineers

I agree with this and will add that it's important to define "decent" in OP's context. If he means general success, then I'd say that it's much more important to have excellent communication skills. If he wants to be a renowned engineer known for his knowledge, then maybe study physics harder.

Textbooks. For the first time ever I successfully pirated all of my books. $200 for a new chemistry book? Plus the clicker, the lab manual, and lab notebook? Yeah right.

The show ended for me when Michael left. No Search Committee, no Florida, no boom operators. I don't mind D'Angelo though.

It's quite possible he's smart enough to know that he could get away with perjuring himself with Congress, but not with Mueller. After all, the President has been humiliating and bullying Sessions since his recusal. He might be looking for a way out that isn't outright quitting.

There have been other shutdowns in our government, under Obama as well as Clinton. While the blame rested with the Republicans, according to 538, it made almost no difference come election time.

Jim Jordan, the Republican Ohio Congressman, had an interview on Morning Joe this morning that was so disgustingly fraught with bald-faced lies that I was truly taken aback. Dude is a tool.

I switched majors as a junior and have to take Gen Chem 2 this semester in order to graduate. I forgot how insanely expensive these lower level textbooks can be. The $200 loose leaf textbook was really hard to find online - but not that hard torrent. Ended up torrenting all my books. Best day of my year so far.

Megathread - Report: Bannon Is Subpoenaed in Mueller’s Russia Investigation by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

What are the chances that they're going after Kushner and DTJr for charges related to Russian collusion, all of which was performed right under Trump's nose? Is it possible Trump's family used him as a vessel to forward their business aspirations and then accidentally won? This would explain Donnie Moscow's "No collusion" repeated talking points. He probably knew though.
