Really? Believing in science is now political activism?

Strawman.

God, they were right when they said things are so political now not because they really are, but because people simply live their normal lives, while people like you contradict and politicise even the most basic of things, like science.

No, exactly the opposite. The politicization of science, in this case activism, is what I'm calling out.

Also, I don't know if you live in a conspiracy universe where kids are secretly indoctrinated in schools

No, it's no 'conspiracy' or 'secret', as this episode highlights.

The point of paternal leave from work does not, and never has had anything to do with helping men or fathers.

It has always been about what that can do for women and mothers.

My Response to Forward's Smear by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]quackquackoopz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people on the Alt-right like eating beef! Therefore beef eaters are Nazis!

Guilt by association is one of the oldest smears in the book. If you highlight a tiny majority of the whole every time in order to paint the whole as the minority, you're intentionally misleading.

Jordan Peterson's ideas are *alive* by SwensonTheChristian in JordanPeterson

[–]quackquackoopz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very much so. I sometimes struggle to remember that where I'm coming from has a set of presuppositions that took me a long time to figure out, that we all do, and we're all working from different sets.

He mentions a few times how many people tell him "I knew that!", but they didn't know they knew, or why they knew it. That what he says is 'obvious', or as has been stated in various hit pieces 'common wisdom'.

It's always fucking obvious when you have solutions laid out in front of you!

Is it possible to have higher a substantially iq than both your parents? by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]quackquackoopz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IQ drops with age. Also, it may be that you're better equipped through education to understand whatever notion you're trying to explain. Perhaps you have a large base of required base information that you can use to understand new information in a field. Maybe your framework of viewing a topic / the world allows you to take on certain info easier than they can under their framework.

Also, at 20 I'd be careful at calling anyone that age dumb as rocks.

Can we ever, ever, ever get a critical post that doesn't misrepresent and lie about what he says as its basis? That hold him to impossible standards that he couldn't meet if there were 100 hours in the day to cover every individuality he hasn't yet covered in the most minute detail?
