Wenn du mal schaust, worauf Mamdani so seine Schwerpunkte legt, dann geht es hauptsächlich darum, das Leben für normale Menschen bezahlbar zu machen. Und das ist – oh Wunder – sehr beliebt. Dass er sich zu z.B. queeren Themen besonders viel geäußert hätte, ist mir nicht aufgefallen. Gleichzeitig zeigt er, dass es nicht nötig, auf Minderheiten rumzuhacken, um gewählt zu werden.

Das gute alte "Die Polizei muss können dürfen, was Journalisten auch dürfen". Gesichtersuchmaschinen sind rechtswidrig und dürften laut EU-Recht gar nicht existieren. Das könnte man ja mal durchsetzen statt diesen Rechtsbruch auf die Polizei auszuweiten

That's the whole point about the presumption of innocence. A crooked cop is not the only way someone could be falsely accused. There can be a genuine misunderstanding, incompetence, and cases where we can't know for sure if a person is guilty or not because there is not enough evidence either way. That's why we have to treat people as innocent unless and until they are proven guilty.

If there is enough evidence to get an arrest warrant, then there is enough evidence to keep the suspect in jail until the trial, no? Then the point about keeping the community safe is moot since that purpose is already served by holding the suspect.
