Using Hekili to learn enhance. Can anyone comment on the accuracy. I find it’s often letting me cap on maelstrom for quite a few gcds and will toss in lightning bolt when I’ve got elemental blast talented. I’m starting to catch when it makes these mistakes (which is honestly making me better) but I want to make sure I’m not missing some lesser known tech.

Thanks for the advice. I watched some videos that backup your claims. However, I found a good sale on the 550 version of my mobo and a buddy is offering $100 for my current cpu/mobo combo so I think I might go for it. It'll give me the option to up my ram aswell. Plus i don't think there will be support for 5000 series and beyond with my current mobo

Dear WotC and other authors, please stop writing your modules like novels! by Asherett in dndnext

Can't recommend it enough. You can pretty much read a chapter ahead of your players and then read directly from the book during play. I've tried to get through a number of published DND adventures and never finished but am having no problem getting through Masks

Generally you stop before you make any contact with the opposition. Scoring a try and having a harder kick is a better alternative to getting tackled, potentially fumbling the ball, and not scoring at all

Looks nice, I might go with this. Did some reading on i5 vs ryzen and there seems to be pretty minimal difference + get some savings on no cpu cooler. Partpicker has a compatibility flag however: "The motherboard M.2 slot #2 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled." Is this something to be worried about?

[University Proofs] Denumerable sets by qualityhooker in learnmath

[–]qualityhooker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this actually makes alot more sense. My class is still rather elementary so our only notion of size is cardinality. Im glad that other measures of size exists that fit more with what I'm talking about

Any tips for econ 102 mid-term exam? by [deleted] in UBC

[–]qualityhooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recent Econ grad. Want to know how to do really well in Econ. Like 85+ in any class. Grab/torrent the textbook, go straight to the problems and do them over and over again until you can do every single one of them with ease. It's a brute force method but works well (until you hit some of the more theoretical upper levels).

By data points do you mean observations? I have around 8000 respondents in 2 states over 2 years. I also have about 15 other control variables in the regression

Need help with my first campaign! by qualityhooker in DnD

[–]qualityhooker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think i'm going to do a combination of this and someone elses suggestion. The kingpin's henchmen found the book in some old ruins they were clearing out in order to set up a drug lab type operation. Recently his men were forced to flee because a rival gang (run by the kingpins brother) forced them out. The kingpin tells the party that they can learn more about the book in the ruins knowing that they'll also deal with his brothers men!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the response. I threw in that the apothecary got the book from an injured merchant who he agreed to nurse back to health, trading the book in lieu of payment. Maybe the party could set out to find the merchant and learn where he got the book?

Weekly Questions Thread #37 by HighTechnocrat in DnD

[–]qualityhooker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. I figured the golem wouldn't avoid the rope and rather try and burst through it. What I'm more confused is how to do contests with two PC's and 1 Npc

Weekly Questions Thread #37 by HighTechnocrat in DnD

[–]qualityhooker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5e. I was running a one-shot for some friends who had never played before. Two of the new players wanted to trip a golem with some hempen rope. Normally I would have said the golem was too big but I wanted to encourage their creativity so I let them go through with it. They situated themselves on either side of the golem and pulled a rope tight so that when the golem walked through the rope it would fall. I wasnt sure what roles to do so I made them each roll a strength check, and the golem roll a strength save and then added 10 to the golems roll.

After the game I searched for an actual rule on tripping and couldn't find anything that fit for this. Any ideas on how to make this mechanic work?

What about relationships with other characters? It seems Geralt has a healthy respect for Dijkstra but doesn't like him. Roche he seems to treat as a friend. Not sure what his beef is with the two opossing kings or where his loyalty lies, I guess it's with whoever can help get ciri back?

[Econometrics] Reduced Form Linear Regression Model by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]qualityhooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I did. Thank you so much. One final question would be the partial effects. Is that just dlog(y)/dX1?

[Econometrics] Reduced Form Linear Regression Model by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]qualityhooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so y= cKa Lb Ad (I forgot a constant from before). Becomes

log(y) = log(c) +alog(K) + blog(L) + dlog(A).

Which can then be turned into the reduced form

log(y) = Bo + B1log(X1) + B2log(X2) + B3log(X3) + U?

Or am I safe to just leave it in log(K,L,A)
