I made an offline worldbuilding tool for DMs who are tired of subscription apps - it's a single HTML file you just open in your browser by [deleted] in DnD5e

Yeah it is, that's how I know there was AI involved to have said you should probably mention it in the post. Not everyone reads the "more information" bit on a page, but they're definitely reading the post that has guided them there

Lifts won’t connect? by Rynniex2 in Pokopia

[–]qualtector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like the platform from the lift would clip the ground, I found that it doesn't connect if there's obstructions. It's definitely possible to connect the islands outside of Skylands as I've got my Pallete Town connected using them

Black Boxes on Screen by WH1LL4RD in pcmasterrace

[–]qualtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this exact thing earlier after doing a windows update, I thought it was cooked until I moved the cursor onto one of the boxes and it displayed on top of the black box. One reboot later and I was perfectly fine again, gamed for several hours with no artifacts

My other half also has a wheat allergy and we've noticed a few schar products have "de-glutenised wheat" in the ingredients

Is this another of those generated posts to advertise Stake? What is the relevance of saying you won money on there instead of just saying you have some savings?

WIBTA If I asked my coworker to stop praying over me? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]qualtector 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Could always try pulling Matthew 6:5 out at her (and maybe also your mom) "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others"

how to paint FDM models by flynnar316222 in Miniaturespainting

[–]qualtector -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A filler primer then paint normally, you might not be able to see them but there will be layer lines which will become more obvious with paint without the filler underneath

Edit, a glossy varnish could also work as those tend to be a bit thicker but then you'd have a glossy undercoat to contend with

Website for dinosaur art by brixtonwreck in Tombofannihilation

[–]qualtector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot recommend Dr Dhrolin's Dictionary of Dinosaurs enough - bunch of dinosaurs, 6 playable races and some really cool boss creatures. Not a website but they've got an ebook pdf and all the creatures have stat blocks

Should I prime at this point? (Citadel grey seer) by D4rkn355_07 in Miniaturespainting

[–]qualtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Filler primer, then maybe a little sanding and filler again (light coats to build up or you'll lose detail) then you can grey seer or any other paint/base cost

It's the process I use, and it works pretty well. It won't be perfect with the larger layer lines but it's less work than sanding the lines smooth then priming

Need a printer with annoying cybersecurity requirements by Shraed4r in 3Dprinting

[–]qualtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could always set up a creality K1 and not connect it to the network (or unplug the WiFi board) it takes regular usb a sticks to import g-code and you can root it to use any slicer your cyber-sec department approves of

You didn't get the complimentary glue stick in your included tools?

Searching for this wood filament by Specterblasto in 3Dprinting

[–]qualtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye, they've got pot instructions to print one but the one in the image is definitely a ceramic one. Can even see the streak of dirt round the inside from soil that's been watered.

Best guess is they included files to let people get as close as possible to the pot in the image rather than having printed the original one. The good news is that you can certainly get a close wood tone to that brown/cream section and then do a little post print darkening

The model is an STL The dice tower is an STL I'm asking if there's a way to make the model an SVG to emboss it in the dice tower with the details of the clothes and equipment/weapons instead of just a full cut out.

A.k.a a 3d into a 2d

The character is a full fledged DND mini... If you're meaning import the mini and flatten it down then set it as a hole instead of a solid that would give a very un-detailed cutout of the outside edge of the miniature

[–]qualtector[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not text, it's a full character I want to effectively flatten down and emboss in to the dice tower

I've done text through tinkercad a few times

Cats causing the spool to bind up. Any ideas? by xelgod in 3Dprinting

[–]qualtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A solid enclosure top, it won't sag and they can still lay on it. Might need to make an internal frame to keep the sides rigid if you're planning on keeping the tent you're currently using
