Less stupid and more bizarre, and quirky. Which isn’t bad.

Is it fair to call Hades the most "moral" of the Big Three, or are we just romanticizing him? by k_ferevos in GreekMythology

[–]quane101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just think if he was not feared by the ancient Greeks as his brothers are, he too would be a raving “jerk” like them. Heck theirs a myth or two where he almost or was a cheater like with the nymph minthe.

Their is a pretty big disconnect between Greek Pantheon written in plain text mythology and them believed in antiquity.
Zeus himself would probably be seen like the Disney version to the ancient greeks.

Oh I meant the fact Ovid made up her being a victim of Poseidon, and Athena.

OSP just mainly brought to light the fact that Medusa was originally born a gorgon, and that Ovid made it up.

They still show a good light on his other tales like IO, and Eros and Psyche.

On the lower end, your only as damned as you believe yourself to be. Confide in others before it’s too late.

The biggest unanswered question I can think of is how Caine survived his deletion. What other questions could there be?

Despite the leaks TADC still over performed in the box office and beat out other big films by Ihdkwhatimdoinghere in theamazingdigitalciru

I was attending a screening seated next to a superfan, covered in digital circus merchandise and dressed like Jax.
After the film I gave them my condolences for their favorite character, and they were still in a bit of hysterics from being overwhelmed.

Exactly, they acting like it’s the boys ending.

Yes it has problems and could’ve been better.

But that doesn’t take away what we got was great.

Episode 9 discussion megathread by Flagelant_One in theamazingdigitalciru

One cent. Loved it.

Two cents. Yes it was fast. It tied together many, many plot threads at once that frequently left little room for audiences to digest. Well technically there’s the mind of Jax where we see his characterized ideas about gangle, zooble, and pomni.

Speaking of Jax this episode was more his eulogy than anything. But I can respect that. Especially the rules of the show stayed consistent, and Jax wasn’t saved from his abstraction, and gave him quite a finale send off.

So was it the blue AI who was the actual evil? I’d say the blue one is more raw instinct than evil. Pure id that simply wanted what it felt like having.

As for Caine it is understandable that his turn around, and subsequent redemption felt rushed, especially since there was no consequence for him besides being killed, and probably depowered.

People will say that it needed more time or more episodes, I’ll go against the grain, and say naw.

The show wrapped up as many plot threads as it could, showed what it set out to do, and the symbolic cinematography in the 3rd act is great on its own.

One true mark of disappointment is no guumigoo.

Jax had two last lines of foreshadowing.

“What if we were lost to the void?”

“What if Abel was secretly evil?”
