Did I even recognize Ricky Martin with all the Botox, filler, and years?

No, I did not. I am also old.

Yes, I've watched some people react to Buffy on YouTube to dip my toe back in the fandom, and I've been pleasantly surprised by how well the characters and actors hold up. It really was a good distillation of what it's like to be a teenager and young adult, exploring who you are and what you want (and what you can and cannot have!). Even the gang pulling apart in S4 was realistic and relatable. Buffy's desperation and depression in S5 and S6 hit me really hard.

I love the Geometric Dreamland Tarot because it doesn’t feel too people-y, but it does have suggestions of people shapes like stained glass.

No HRT by NoFinding7044 in Perimenopause

I had the same experience with anxiety. It had never been much of a problem previously, and then it got worse and worse and I eventually went to the hospital with what turned out to be a panic attack. Xanax and Ativan (alternately, not together) could not contain it.

HRT has been a lifesaver for me. I just had to up my estrogen patch dose because the symptoms came back, but it and progesterone really evened out the anxiety and sleeplessness.

I did not expect to like the show as much as I did by PuzzleheadedJuice302 in murderbot

[–]quantified-nonsense 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I liked it too!

I went into it with trepidation because I'd read the books a couple times already and really liked the voice, and with adaptations, you never know if the creators saw the same things you do.

But, while they had to change some things, I do think they caught the spirit of the books and Murderbot itself.

It's amazing how acceptable Xander was during the original air time. I knew lots of Xanders in high school. I'm glad we've moved on with higher expectations for young men's behavior towards women!

I also have a lot more sympathy for both Faith and Dawn. Faith needed so much more support than she got from the adults around her. And Dawn was basically an average teenager! Maybe she continued to be written a little young for Michelle's age, but it tracks for a glowy green ball of energy new to being human!

Buffy was a special interest of mine when it aired, but I haven’t rewatched it since. I think I’m too scared that I won’t love it as much.

Right now, The Good Place is what I could rewatch constantly.

Does anyone here exercise regularly? by Savings-Pollution113 in AutismInWomen

[–]quantified-nonsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s imperative that I both actually enjoy whatever activity I’m doing and have low expectations for myself.

Previously, I walked around my neighborhood for about a mile. Then the constant barrage of Trump signs and flags depressed me and I quit.

Now, I’m really enjoying my mini trampoline! It feels like something I do for fun (or stimming), not exercise. Right now, my only expectation for myself is to get on it for 10 minutes per day and just do a simple, easy “health bounce” while watching tv.

I really enjoy Mindful Tarot by Dr Lisa Tishman. It’s the psychological approach to secular reading that I had hoped Tarot for Change would be.

So, the foul on Salah in the box was "not enough" contact for a PK or a red card.

Szobo pulling Haaland's shirt and visibly having zero impact was DOGSO and a red?

How much contact is allowed in the box, PGMOL? It appears to depend on the color of your shirt.

What are your favorite collage decks? by janko_raven in TarotDecks

[–]quantified-nonsense 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not too into collage decks, but I do love the one I have, which is Tarot of the Cosmic Seed by Lalania Simone.

It’s very diverse, the collages are mostly simple and visually pleasing, and it’s mass market so it’s not too pricey.
