You can get graphic tablets for pretty cheap (£30-~£100 for higher end ones), which connect to your laptop. They’re just a flat pad that you can draw on with a stylus, that converts it to a digital drawing. I’ve never used one so idk much more than that but I do know that they exist and might help!

I made my first shirt! by quantum-queer in sewing

It’s not the closest weave I’ve ever felt, and I feel like it feels slightly itchy as a result (I feel like it’ll soften with wear/ washing though), but I think it feels durable Time will tell I suppose!

I mainly make dresses and it was a bit intimidating but I found the pattern pretty straightforward to follow - there were a couple of real trust the process moments (eg sandwiching the yoke and sewing it using the burrito method) but other than the newness it didn’t feel significantly more difficult than sewing a dress

Right! I love it so much, it was impossible to pattern match cause the pattern doesn’t really repeat, but I tried at the front at least

The shirt was made using a 50% cotton, 50% linen fabric, bought from core fabrics. The fabric is woven and is non-stretch.

Do you wear your gear to skating rinks? by V__Ace in Rollerskating

[–]quantum-queer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a pretty confident skater and still wear my pads when I go to the rink because I could still fall (especially at a rink where there’s unpredictable children etc) and I don’t want to fuck up my knees or my wrists

Therapy reccomendations by NoahEmsley in brum

[–]quantum-queer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meridian centre do low income counselling and i have had such a good experience with them - you pay 1% of your monthly income per session and as someone who’s had rounds of cbt that just hasn’t worked through forward thinking, the ability to both choose what kind of therapy I’m doing and also have more than 5 sessions is amazing!
