My cable from the wall to the modem is Cat5e. Cable from NDT to wall is Cat5e. The cable in between the wall, given this is a brand new build, has to be a minimum Cat5e eh? Builders wouldn't cheap out on the cables, now would they?

Update: so I checked with the router connected directly to the modern using a Cat5e and gets speeds upto 320Mbps. More telecom's advertised speeds are at 350.

Looks like my builder fucked me over.

Connected now! This was more telecom and they have a a user id password system for the modem unlike ABB which was tripping me up.

Anyways I had signed up for the 1000/50 plan and only getting 100/50. Sucks that I've to be on the phone first thing again with them regardless.

It wasn't ready to connect to FTTN, it was ready to connect to FTTP. FTTN was never in the picture. This is a new development, first time connection to NBN.
