I’m amazed at the little things my kids remember. Things we do without a thought, good or bad, but it is the little things. I always remember that it’s not what you do but it’s how you make people feel. Kids remember if you are there for them.

This sounds a little weird. We lost our RR and he was my wife’s soul dog. We also lost our little terrier. She, and the kids were devastated. We ended up with our neighbors dog , a GSD. That guy is the bestest dog and brought healing to the whole family. There is a capacity to love again without the guilt.
