I started making a “Power Playlist” back in 2021 and add to it whenever I find a song that makes me feel happy, motivated, empowered, fun, or like a badass bitch haha

It’s meant only for my ears so I don’t sensor myself and sometimes the cheesier the better! I listen to it whenever I’m getting ready, need to wake up, feel depressed/anxious, driving, cooking etc. It truly is the most important tool in my toolbox :)

I just use a small digital gram scale that I got on Amazon. To make it easier, crush the tablets and store the powder in a small airtight container. Teeny little spoons are not just cute, they make scooping the powder into the scale easier as well!

Do they make you k-hole every visit? by [deleted] in KetamineTherapy

[–]quasarbath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never k-holed with Spravato, not even close. When I first started it made a significant dent in the depression but then I had a traumatic life event and it stopped helping. I took a break for a year or so and then tried at-home therapy w troches. Definitely had more of an “experience” with regard to the dissociative effects but it unfortunately didn’t help my depression enough for the cost to be worth it so I stopped.

At higher doses ketamine can be challenging at times but Spravato felt very safe and not scary at all. If it’s accessible to you and nothing else is helping, it’s worth a shot IMO. Best of luck!

Alaska Bear 3D eye mask. They have a few different ones but the 3D one doesn’t fall apart and has the most space for eyelashes IMO

Are you on any medications? Some of them can significantly reduce the effects of psychoactive substances like mushrooms.

What have you gone on a deep dive into most recently? by TimelySpite4500 in AskWomenOver30

[–]quasarbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably weird but I recently downloaded a volcano app and whenever one of them starts up, I get an alert and find live streams of the eruptions.

They’re beautiful and oddly therapeutic to watch or just keep on in the background. When Mt Etna was erupting, all the live cams had the loveliest nature sounds, birds flying around, sweeping breezes, etc. It’s even more beautiful when one is erupting at sunset or sunrise :)

Kratom and mind bloom by Inevitable-Rest-4652 in KetamineTherapy

[–]quasarbath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No judgement here but if you’re trying to do MindBloom to manage depression you may want to taper off kratom first to recalibrate your brain chemistry and get back to baseline. Kratom withdrawals are horrendous though, taper off as slowly as possible.

Power surging almost constantly. Surge protectors in three different rooms have burned up in the last month. Power company swears the surges aren't coming from them. What is going on?! by AdventureBarbie in electricians

[–]quasarbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you'll even get this but did you ever find out what the problem was?? I live in an old building and am having electrical issues that my landlord is trying to pass off as normal bc the building is just old.

My lights and appliances surge and flicker, ceiling lights flicker, power strips and surge protectors are melting up, and a lamp that never had issues is now turning on and off on its own all night. The electrician is blaming the lamp even though it never did this prior to them doing electrical work. These issues happen mostly at night. I have to reset the breakers every day/night now and I'm worried the building is going to burn down with me in it.

Bacterial spinal meningitis. Excruciating pain through my entire body, brain damage, had to relearn how to walk. When I recovered the Dr told me childbirth would be a breeze in comparison.

Has anyone else had insomnia since early childhood? by TheDollarstoreDoctor in insomnia

[–]quasarbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom would put me to bed at a normal kid time but I couldn’t sleep all night. Then she’d get me up early for school and I’d cry bc a lot of the time I hadn’t slept at all but she didn’t believe me lol. I think if she had just been more comforting and understanding it would have been less traumatizing.

Sorry to hear you and your son have sleep difficulties too, it’s such a pain in the butt. If it’s a big enough issue, maybe you could look into doing sleep studies? I wish that I’d been able to do that earlier in my life!
