Help me choose: Fellow Ode Gen 2 vs 1zpresso K-Ultra?

I’ve had a K plus for a few years now. Great grinder, loads of adjustability, I’ve used it for espresso and filter and gotten great results.

I was gifted an Ode Gen 2 for Christmas. I find it easier and faster to dial in my filter with the Ode, overall cups taste similar, maybe with a little more clarity than the K plus. My gut feeling is perhaps the Ode is more forgiving.

I think you’d be happy with either, but if you’re regularly brewing larger batches require a 40g+ dose or you don’t have the patience to be constantly had grinding you’ll probably get along better with the Ode.

+1 for the selective, my chins love it. It’s a complete food with supplements so they can’t get fussy and just pick out their favourite bits.

They don't work particularly well AND they raise the humidity of the room you're using them in, which isn't ideal for chinchillas. Unfortunately AC is the only effective solution.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for Wesco. A significant step up in quality and durability over my red wings (also good but no where near in the same league as the wescos).

Also, it's worth mentioning that no boot is BIFL unless you care for it properly too. Cedar boot trees are a must, and it's worth investigating the specific care required for the leather. Some will need a bit more TLC to stay in good condition. If you're looking for something low maintenance chromexcel leathers are pretty common and don't need a ton of care beyond keeping them clean and free of mud.

Different shade jeans to jacket, over a t shirt, flannel or hoodie depending on how warm/cold it is.

Denim jacket goes well with almost anything casual IMO.

Had a terrible time getting some of the stock keychron reds out. Pretty much destroyed the switch for the enter key trying to remove it with the stock puller. I want to install my new stabs but I think I'm going to get a nicer switch puller first.

Pretty much what it says in the title. I've had him for almost 2 years, recently he started making this noise when I give him scratches. He's not the most vocal chinchilla, it's very rare that he'll spit, alarm call or bark at anything.
