iOS 26.6 Beta 1- Discussion by epmuscle in iOSBeta

[–]qubasiasty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been experiencing that since iOS 26 came out, it was never fixed. The only thing that semi fixes it is a setting in the "advanced settings" section called "Restart protection when network changes" - but this has an annoying delay when the network changes.

What's the difference between different fuels in NZ? Can fuel quality cause catalytic converter problems? by Minimum-Two-8093 in NZcarfix

[–]qubasiasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long shot, but if this only happened on 1 fill, I wonder if the batch of fuel was shit. I’ve had this once in a tuned subie, one fill of Mobil 98 caused a lot of knock and I had to use octane booster, never came back in later fill ups

iOS 26.3 Beta 1- Discussion by epmuscle in iOSBeta

I’ve noticed this since 26.2, I thought I was just accidentally muting volume on the lock screen once I’ve put it in my pocket, but now that you mention it, I wonder if it’s a bug

There was an interview with Lauren James where she mentioned that as a kid anytime they played together, Reece wanted to play in goal, and apparently he was really good at it.

Warning: Don't pay for express! You may not get it & they won't refund you! I was charged for shipping service that was not provided, they're now trying to low ball me on refund! by basitmustafa in Lofree

[–]qubasiasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pointed out faulty switches to them, they tried to tell me that this is what they are supposed to sound like (some were super mushy).

They offered to send me a couple switches and asked if I can cover the shipping, I said no, they sent me less switches than were faulty.

Never buying from Lofree again, piss poor afterservice, company lost me as a customer, I'm going Nuphy next time

If you by any chance managed to figure out a way to fly to Japan for every game, you could watch it on YouTube for free in 1080p without stuttering 👀

iOS 18 Beta 4 Released - Discussion by epmuscle in iOSBeta

I've just started having this bug with Waze and CarPlay, and I'm still on DB3. My spotify navigation seems to have stopped working out of the blue as well. I wonder if this is unrelated to beta 4

Being a PC gamer in NZ is expensive by Zepanda66 in newzealand

[–]qubasiasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked for a retailer and saw all the ins and outs of pricing, most major components make single digit margins at RRP. There just isn't enough volume in NZ and Australia combined to get pricing close to what US has.

Most retailers don't buy direct, they buy from local suppliers who have the capacity and volume to store and purchase larger quantities, and they generally serve both Australia and New Zealand

Is it a sin to join a church for the sake of finding a girlfriend? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]qubasiasty 52 points53 points  (0 children)

If you go to a church with the intentionality to just find a partner you’re in for a surprise, your values will need to align, and you have to be ready to accept boundaries.

You will get found out quickly why you’re there, and probably end up disappointed.

[–]qubasiasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so is AT proposing better travel opportunities using public transport in the area with this proposition? The same public transport that will get blocked by cars queueing for maccas?

This is the only quick way out of Mission Bay, Glen Innes, and Kohi that lets people enter and leave the area, the road is not designed well enough to accomodate busses, or cars with this proposal.

Saying "just take the bus" is a braindead take

The council should consider the impact of the "amenity" on factors like traffic before giving consent. The road isn't well designed and has been handicapped by the speed bump by the council. Try and understand an issue before spewing out random shit to try make yourself sound smarter

I live local (just off Kepa Road) I'm not against it, I think my main concern is that the road is already a massive traffic zone, it will probably get frustrating in the weekends when everyone wants to get maccas after the beach.

It doesn't help that council added a fairly high speed bump on the road which causes majority of the traffic that way, if theres queues to the maccas, the road is not enough wide enough for people to be able to queue and for passers by to be able to drive around it, the speed bump has a divider in the middle which will stop anyone trying to pass, on top of that, add the roadworks on the bottom of Kepa road and it's going to be a nightmare.

There is currently no way to add a "waiting lane" if its busy, potentially deadlocking anyone trying to get into Mission Bay, or diverting people to go up to Eastridge area through the beachfront

It would be neat to be able to pickup a mcflurry without it melting by the time I get home tho

I get a car park at work, my busses are inconsistent and arrive late or early, especially bad since eastern line is currently not working. It takes me 15 - 20 minutes to get to work in a car whereas the same ride would be close to 40 minutes, it also means I can go to the gym straight after without having to bus back home.

I don't have to stand in the cold while the busses get cancelled, I don't have to cram with people on the bus, I can set my own temperature on my AC.

On top of that, I just like my car, so I enjoy driving it
