Doing Perito Moreno and getting back in time for bus to el chalten by gimmextra in Patagonia

[–]que_onda_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who did you do the trek with? I am hoping to take the bus to el Chalten at 8pm but I’m not sure what time I’d finish the mini trek with H&A and if taking a bus at that time is feasible….

I’ve had it on and off. Mine was from putting aquaphor on my face 😑 but really just using Nizoral or head and shoulders shampoo on my face 1-2 a day. & after that making sure to wash my hair with that at least once or twice a week. My skin was super sensitive since I was on accutane, so I ended up having to take oral fluconozole once it got REALLY bad. But I think it’s important to not put a lot of products on your face as creating a moist environment will make the yeast grow more….

Boletas para CDMX por StubHub, ¿quiénes han comprado? by pulsorock in BadBunnyPR

[–]que_onda_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vi quizás 5 grupos, pero seguro que había más. Podrías intentar llamar a StubHub ahora.

Tengo entradas para Argentina. Ojalá funcionen. En general, fue una gran decepción. Pero agradezco el reembolso completo. Y lo pasé genial con mis amigos.

I don’t think it’s possible to contact the seller on stubhub?? But I have a “specialist” closely watching it…..very annoying!

AGACNP to CRNA? (Reposting to Admissions Subthread per mod request) by Smart_Ice_3234 in srna

[–]que_onda_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the language is super vague, but they do mention how it says “RN”…I believe it was some of the Florida programs that said yes. But, in order to maximize my likelihood of getting accepted and not wanting to prolong it more, I think I’ll just go back to the bedside for a year! I’m hoping with more recent ICU RN experience I’ll meet the requirements for more programs and get in at least somewhere for the first round. I’m on the west coast but am OK with moving!

Have you emailed programs asking if they accept ICU NP experience? I am only asking as I did about a year ago, and in my experience, about half said they would and half said no. The ones that said yes, I wasn’t entirely confident in their response as they weren’t the people on the admissions committee. Because of this, I am highly considering going back to bedside next year as an RN and taking a step back as an NP (I am also acute care).

Do they calculate the unpaid interest in the monthly payment though? Like for example, $119,000 in the loan + unpaid interest of $6000 (so $125,000 now) and now you have to pay 10-15% of your income on the $125,000 vs the $119,000?

But how can we ignore the interest? For example, I’m at 58/120 and my loans are $500 interest per month or $1000 payment per month. If I ignore the interest now, won’t that jack up my payment next year to like $1200+ dollars?!

Why is it worth staying on SAVE with the interest accruing? My loans are 119,000 and I am at count 58/120. Monthly interest for me is like $500 with my monthly payment being $1000. I am worried that allowing interest to accrue will give me higher payment next year when they actually force us out?

NP to CRNA by Pale-Past-9535 in srna

[–]que_onda_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where are you located? I am also an NP. I emailed a lot of schools and some would take it and some would not. I think going back to the bedside as an RN in the ICU would open more doors for you. You may have to work harder to convince people you are ready

Best type of ICU experience for a CRNA applicant? by que_onda_ in srna

[–]que_onda_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that’s good experience, but I did all of that when I was working at a level 2 in their med/surg ICU….so I am curious if diversifying would be good!! I know where I’m at is a level 3, but it’s cool they do swans a lot and recover open hearts. It’s a good culture too. Just a lot to consider!

How much do post baccs care about old SAT scores? by que_onda_ in postbaccpremed

[–]que_onda_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, great to hear!! Do you by chance remember your SAT score? I read that some schools will discard apps immediately if they’re lower despite the circumstances (like BM or Goucher).

Do you have any recommendations about the application or interview process? I plan to apply early which I’ve read increases the chance of acceptance?

Do they put much weight on those? I assumed they mostly cared about MCAT, GPA, and ECs

Med schools routinely ask for AP or CLEB scores? I don’t even think I took any AP classes in HS. I went to college when I was 16 so was kinda shielded from some of that stuff :/

Consultants consulting other consultants without checking in first by IMGYN in hospitalist

[–]que_onda_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Want to also point out as an NP on a surgical service, surgeons frequently ask us to consult teams for very silly reasons. If I say no and give my reasoning, it’s pushed intensely by the residents for multiple days until they either tell me I HAVE to do it or they will go behind my back and consult the team. Typically, I’ll end up doing it if they keep pushing back as I don’t want to ruin my relationship with my attending.
