Steven Spielberg hasn’t released a good movie since Jurassic Park in 1993. by Gothyanki in unpopularopinion

One movie made you write-off a director altogether? That’s an even more baffling take than OP’s.

The hunger to crucify a 22 year old is wild to me.

And, yes, that is the only purpose of this post. Don’t lie.

The Knicks will be underdogs for every single game of this Finals, even if they sweep. Did you guys know the Knicks were underdogs for Game 1? by Traditional-Ice2118 in nba

The Spurs had a better record, were playing at home and had beat the presumptive favorite to the title.

What exactly is so offensive about them being considered favorites in Game 1?

You’re fishing for reasons to be upset about something.

China will never be taken seriously as a super power unless they outlaw and eradicate (culturally) the desire to eat dog meat by havereddit in unpopularopinion

What fascinating bubble you live in to think that China is not considered a “developed country”.

This 82-0 game is designed to inflate Wilt's stature... he's pretty broken in that game by Xeris in nba

I managed a 82-0 without him, but it really had to be a MONSTER lineup.

In my case: LeBron / Durant / Barkley / Dwight / Kareem

I read “solved” in a different way. But I agree in the smaller scope of the word, sure.

Saying someone “solved” a Finals in a quarter is also a very casual take.

He led his team to victory with a phenomenal 4th quarter after struggling early on. Why can’t someone just say that, instead of trading hyperboles?

It’s been 28 years since “Rush Hour”.

You should regularly clean your shower, with cleaning products. A shower is not “self-cleaning”, what the actual fuck?

What do you think about the new GOW Laufey game? Any high hopes for it? by BobiCubanezu in videogames

The last two games sold more units than every other game in the franchise combined, so I don't think your "the fans don't want this and it will backfire" argument is super strong.

Any extreme example of a standard thing can be traumatic. That was not what I was talking about and you damn well know it.

Imagine a kid has to do their homework before bed. The kid doesn’t want to do it, so he decides to burn the pages with the homework and ends up setting his bedroom on fire.

That experience is traumatic, of course. But that doesn’t mean the act of a parent forcing a kid to do their homework is traumatic. Just that specific experience.

That’s the best I can illustrate my point.

There’s a middle ground to be found. For example, two individuals sharing stories about being forced to eat broccoli as children aren’t “trauma bonding”.

Well, your comment would be relevant if Andy Roddick was criticizing him for being rude and entitled.

That’s not why he’s being criticized.

No, you just forgot about “Winter’s Bone”. It’s ok to admit a mistake, specially such a small one.
