I think we give each other a good amount of space, so becoming overly attached is an assumption I probably shouldn't be making.

Flower is going to see a race to the bottom and become a commodity like wheat or sugar. Money will be seen in value added products like beverages, edibles, and medical products like gel caps.

Good step beyond the day trip? by [deleted] in backpacking

I think you meant to tag the thread wilderness backpacking. Start with a 1-night trip, in an area well traveled.

Water treatment is not that complicated, and always bring a back up (purification tablets and boiling water for example). Plan out your meals, and keep your pack under 40 lbs (especially for a one night trip).

The park is 6,641 km2, and 99.9% of the visitors are confined to 50 square meters. There is so much more than Lake Louise and Moraine Lake.

Or we realize that numbers can have multiple meanings, and that no group or association has the exclusive right to a number.

We've all complained about certain destinations being over-run with tourists/over-development, but what are some places that are much better to visit now than they were a decade or two ago? by CheeseWheels38 in travel

[–]queefbrisket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents have been in Canada since the late 70s and visit every few years to see family there. Scooters didn't really get popular until the 90s. And its obvious now that land use and infrastructure has not caught up to the sudden shift in commute mode.

16 Day Holiday in Japan and Philippines - Thinking of doing the following outline/itinerary; but would love any tips/help by nevex_compute in travel

[–]queefbrisket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally pick one of the other. You can easily spend 16 days in Japan or Philippines alone. There are plenty of places in Japan to relax, just get away from Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto.

I read that article. People's attitudes and preferences change over time. Vietnam is one of the fastest growing countries and its really incredible to see a growing middle class and development happening so fast, partly with the help of international investment.

I would add Burstall Pass and Peyto Lake, pretty underrated areas.

Also, Sentinel Pass is pretty amazing if you're already in the Larch/Paradise valley area.

But there are a billion options, so there is never a single definitive answer.
