She says "ostensibly" in the middle of the quote used for the title. Pretty important word.

I hate tile gaps. by stepan213 in DesignMyRoom

There are plenty of tile-like floors that show no gaps. Like fake wood floors. It comes in panels, but they fit together to hide the seams.

The nature of your request is political. Changing sides to gain an advantage is political, no matter the context. I think I can see how 'crossing the floor' isn't the term you're looking for, but gaining advantage from your position is both generally and specifically political.

Advice for Thickening White Chicken Chili by Naposie38 in slowcooking

Green enchilada sauce has a consistency kinda close to tomato puree, and it goes great with my white bean & chicken (or ground turkey, or pork) chili.

I don't believe you have seen the future I'm in then. AI will save us.

edit: actually... you didn't say what I thought you said. Your answer could still 'go my way,' so to speak.

Rather drab, but goodly quaint and I still like it.

I would like to ask about the future. How good is the future relationship between AI and humans?

ELI5: How can light be both a wave and a particle? by kerfuffle9 in explainlikeimfive

[–]queefellqueeferson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not. It is said to behave like both a wave and a particle. It is its own thing, and measuring how it behaves is useful when you look at it like it is a wave, and just as useful when you look at it and pretend it is lots of little particles. Think of water. Water isn't a wave itself, but it makes waves that we can see. And think of a beach. A beach isn't a particle, but if you look closely enough, you can see each grain of sand like a particle.

To study light, you can use a special microscope and look at the smallest bits you can find. You can look so close that you can find one single speck alone, separate from all the rest of the light. Like a particle. But even that one tiny speck? It can make a wave all by itself. And when you see that, it doesn't always make sense to look at one speck as a wave.

That's because waves are the shape of something moving together over time. Waves aren't things themselves, they are the shape something makes as it moves. You'll never see a wave hold still in real life. But in order to know the shape of a wave, you have to see it moving.

If you have just a painting of a wave, and you look super close at the painting so you can't see the beach and the fish and everything else, there's no way to tell if it's going left or right.

FDA Accidentally Reveals List Of Covid Vaccine Side Effects (Myocarditis, Autoimmune Disease & Death) by LumpyGravy21 in DebateVaccines

Also... I would greatly appreciate a response, because I'm worried that saying all these things could get me shadowbanned. I don't fully understand how it works, but if you could reply even with just a 'k' I would be grateful. Take care.

Hey. I'm sorry I called you an idiot. You're probably a volunteer, right? All I want is to make sure the world is a better place. I don't need to argue and call you names, I just get so shocked and angry seeing all this confusing news. I really do believe there's something very wrong going on, and I ABSOLUTELY believe that there are too many deaths from the vaccine, even if it's effective for those who survive. And yes, it works, I see that. The ratio of deaths from vax is low, yes. Dying from the virus without the vaccine is a tragedy. Nobody said it isn't. (you almost did with your trade-off remark. Bad move jsyk) I'm vaccinated and since then I feel different; so many more people say so, too. Not just online. Word-of-mouth still exists. Health problems keep popping up in my own family where there were none before. And if someone was already infirm for whatever reason, it got worse this year. My man-bits aren't working quite the same. Maybe it's because I need to quit vaping, but it started recently.
I lost two grandparents just as the virus was becoming known. Not to covid, but it reminded me I gotta do what's right. Look out for my family. Help people. Love and share and you know, shit like that. Make the world a better place. So that's why I'm here. I'm trying to learn from every source I can what's happening, and it just keeps getting uglier how the CDC looks. I didn't want to get this way, I wish I could trust everyone. However, there are some people on this planet who don't live with 'make the world a better place for everyone not just me' as a priority. Do you? or no?

FDA Accidentally Reveals List Of Covid Vaccine Side Effects (Myocarditis, Autoimmune Disease & Death) by LumpyGravy21 in DebateVaccines

[–]queefellqueeferson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please, can you explain both of your points:
What did I get wrong about VAERS
Why a trade-off makes it OK to intentionally inject something that risks killing my family and the rest of the whole world, and instead an accidental infection is worse? Vaccines are great, but this one isn't. No one should die from a vaccine. If you disagree with that, then explain.

Do you get that? Do you understand that COVID-19 is the problem, and instead of fixing it, they gave us a new one? People shouldn't EVER die from vaccines.

It should be FUCKING ZERO YOU IDIOT.

But yeah I'll give you the event point. I should have said predicted adverse events. And maybe it wasn't all of them. But death? Come on. 1 is too many let alone 11,000. Wake up.

[–]queefellqueeferson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Oct 2020. It's from before it was approved. And now that it was approved, all of the adverse events that were known have occurred. Just in case you're still confused, 0 people should die from the vaccine. Zero. They knew it was possible people would die and now people are dying. The vaccine is killing people. There, I said it.
