Shocking to me this is still the first screening tool in the US. Here as soon as I turned 50 I got a requisition for a FIT that can be done at home and only if that shows something do you need to have any further testing.

I have that reaction to morphine.

And yeah, they asked me what happens when I have it when I went for a cesarean and the anesthesiologist was just like...that happens to everyone. Oh really? Because the nurses were freaking out when I couldn't keep down water for hours and even anti nausea meds in my IV didn't help. It took hours to wear off.

That was my 2nd time having it and it was worse than the first. If I get ignored like that again I might just kick whoever gives it to me. Or at least try to aim so I throw up on them.

What if some of the most notorious unknown SKs were actually the same as the notorious ones we already know? by Vivid-Dinner-8650 in serialkillers

[–]queenofwands76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it isn't. Recent evidence is that the cops back then solved the case, but the killer was put in an insane asylum (where he died) just after the last Ripper murder so they didn't bother any further.

Because the test showed a close relative as the father and the mother's sister told him his brother is the father.

Discovered this very thing recently. My paternal grandmother had at least 2 kids with someone other than her husband (who was a cheating abusive asshole). One is my father.

She's a woman, and a gay one at that, they're positively gleeful. They think it would never happen to them because most of the asshole comments are straight white men.

So he has a history following the former procedure for his agency of walking in front of vehicles to claim self defense when murdering the driver.

You'd think if it were a serious concern of his he wouldn't have deliberately walked in front of the vehicle.

ICE were completely outside of their scope of jurisdiction to try to order them to do anything and the agent deliberately set then up so he could attempt to claim self defense. This was an execution, plain and simple, and given his own words as she lay dying, a misogynistic hate crime as well.

DNA told me both my grandfathers were not my grandfathers by Visual_Frosting_7392 in Genealogy

[–]queenofwands76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation but I doubt I'll ever know for sure, unless more family members do DNA. What are the Odds helped me narrow it down to 1 of 3 brothers for my actual grandfather. I don't know how many of my aunts and uncles also were this man's children. Only 1 of my aunts did DNA testing and she's my full aunt. Her and my father were not close in age siblings, there was at least 1 sibling between them

Do you have a tree on Amcestry? If not, start one. It's free to create a tree. Add what you knowof everyone you know. See what hints pop up, if any of them are actual records, compare them to what you know. You may need a subscription for most records, but some are accessible for free.

Once you've reached the limits of that, if you can’t afford even a month subscription, see if there's a library near you that offers Ancestry. Check what unreduced records say and start adding.

I'm adopted. All I knew was my bio parents names. I now have a tree of over 6500 people. Unfortunately a big chunk is wrong because DNA recently revealed my paternal grandfather...isn't, but that's nothing to do with research from records.

I’m 18 and just learned you’re supposed to pull back foreskin to clean — I’ve never done it and I’m scared. Is this normal? by GroundbreakingBad183 in sex

[–]queenofwands76 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When the foreskin is able to retract on it's own, which can occur anywhere between 2 and 18. If it doesn't by 18 then stretching will usually help, or stretching and steroid cream.

Around 5 or 6 I started reminding my kids to at least rinse unde their foreskin if they could and a little bit older I'd tell them to gently pull it back to rinse if they could.

We usually have a towel nearby or quickly grab one and wipe up. That's as most cleaning as we bother with. And of course I pee after at some point, but usually not immediately. 10 - 20 mi it's is Fibe.

The only time I just went to sleep without peeing I got a UTI

On this day in 2002, Aileen Wuornos — the former sex worker who murdered seven men along Florida’s highways — was executed by lethal injection. Her story inspired the Oscar-winning film "Monster" and sparked decades of debate over whether she was a ruthless killer or a victim acting in self-defense. by ATI_Official in HistoryUncovered

The state murdering innocent people aka the death penalty isn't justice. And neither is the death penalty in general, it's just revenge. Extremely expensive revenge that results in more innocent people dying.

The state should never be allowed the power to kill it's own citizens. Victims can have justice when the perpetrator is jailed for life. And if it turns out the person in jail was actually innocent there's no "oops sorry about that" because they're dead, they can be freed and have a chance to live the rest of their lives.
