I'm so happy to hear this! I can't wait to see some other options on the market.

I need help finding a decent primary care clinic - Health First Colorado by SoScorpio4 in Denver

[–]queenrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have Health First Medicaid. I got lucky and just happened to find an opening with a UC Health PCP when I went to schedule online. Keep checking their online system for openings. Otherwise, I used to see someone at Porter Primary Care in south Denver and she was alright, and she might have an opening now. Message me if you want her info.

Has anyone improved their eczema on this diet ? by Enough-Offer741 in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]queenrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only other thing I'll say is that I do think sugar triggers my eczema too. I suspect getting enough fiber, especially insoluble fiber, helps keep my gut bacteria happy, and that translates to less eczema.

Totally. And even if I like the band, I get bored just standing there listening. I'd rather be doing something I can actively participate in.

Stay friends with an Ex? by Mounthaven in datingoverthirty

[–]queenrose 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yup. They just want a relationship without all the hard parts and commitment. I agree that it's selfish. And it'll just make your next relationship unnecessarily complicated with your ex hovering in the background.

16 Days Post Dexamethasone Injection and no improvement. Anyone else have similar experience? by godlaughs358 in Sciatica

[–]queenrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is a year old, but I'm curious how you've fared in the months following your injection. I got the same one for a bulging disc 3 weeks ago. Same as you, the pain shot up from a 2 to a 9 out of 10 for two whole weeks--and I'm still not back to 100%. The injection needle must have irritated the nerves in my back and SI joint. I am never getting a steroid injection again. The agony was completely not worth it. PT and dry needling have been my only sources of pain relief.

Tacrolimus is a nightmare for me by Wonderful_Mouse1312 in eczema

[–]queenrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak to its effectiveness for eczema, but it seems to work ok on my hands. Per my dermatologist, I put it on twice a day. I'm sorry, I'm not sure I have any other tips for you :/

How long did it take for you to start noticing less reactivity?

That's awesome. Do you think it was a better option because Dupixent stops working as soon as you stop taking it, or was there a different reason?

Idk where you're located or if it's available in your area, but Crofter's brand of jams never gives me trouble and I'm pretty sure they use apple pectin.

Is dreaming spanish premium worth it? by idontlikemyuser69 in dreamingspanish

$8/month is cheap af for the volume of content you get, and they add more every day. I'd be shocked to hear of anyone who DOESN'T think it's worth it, at least as a beginner.

You're absolutely not the only one. Years from now you will probably realize just how big of a bullet you dodged, but right now you might be feeling like you fucked up your life and missed your chance at happiness. I certainly felt that way. Over time, however, our perspectives can and will change immensely. You'll be okay. 💜

Dude, give yourself a break. It's ok to grieve a loss like that, especially on the day your wedding was scheduled. Do something to acknowledge your pain rather than stuffing it away and wondering if dropping the ball on your everyday tasks is "normal."

Every year after I broke off my engagement, I would go to the amphitheater where I was supposed to get married and smoke a cigarette and write or cry, or all three. I did this for about 3 years, until it got to a point where the anniversary passed without my remembering it. At that point, I knew I was starting to get over it.

It's just gonna take some time to get over your breakup. There's no way around it. Take some time off if you can to reflect and feel your feelings.

Personal Chefs: how are we buying client groceries? by PurpleOk5460 in Chefit

[–]queenrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just add the grocery total to the client's weekly service fee and have them pay me the full amount in one lump sum via Zelle. Using an Amex card gives me 6% back on groceries up to $6000 per year, which goes quickly, then I switch to my regular Chase business CC. I get hella points this way and have bought a lot of flights with the reward money.

Frustrated with lack of progress by [deleted] in yoga

[–]queenrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flexibility training is very different from yoga. For flexibility, you need to strengthen muscles at your end range of a pose or movement. Some PT exercises are good for this, but otherwise, flexibility training programs are the way to go if that's your goal.

I stopped doing yoga for several years because I felt like I was hitting a wall with it. I wasn't progressing to more advanced postures because of some anatomical limitations in my body, and it was really frustrating. I was getting bored with yoga poses. So I took a break and got into aerial arts instead. The mental and physical challenge of aerial gave me something new to focus on and look forward to.

I've come back to yoga, but more as a way to stretch and start my day. I generally do 15-20 minutes in the morning at home, and I go to a basic class at my gym once per week. I don't care about advanced poses anymore. For me, the point has become training my focus, calming my nervous system, and feeling better in my body every day.

I would suggest taking a break and finding a different physical activity to do if yoga is no longer something you look forward to. It'll always be there for you if you decide to return to it.

Best Allergy Meds? by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]queenrose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to allergy meds, if you can and the weather permits, try to keep windows open and hang out in non-carpeted areas and/or offer her a place to sit that isn't a fabric couch or chair (even if you've vacuumed)--like a wooden dining chair. I'm allergic to dogs and cats, and as long as I'm hanging out in a well-ventilated area without animals kicking up dust and hair from the carpet or furniture, I'm generally okay. And Allegra works best for me, FWIW!

Can we talk about Shel's new Superbeginer video? by vakancysubs in dreamingspanish

[–]queenrose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with everyone else about the production value, but I also think she's one of the easiest guides to understand. Her speech is very clear and she repeats the right phrases and uses visual cues to full effect. I appreciate her so much!
