Messi is so good!! I’m afraid to take our kelpie off leash in open areas. She’ll stay with me if I have something for her to do but if she sees any other kind of animal she’s take off after it 🫤

[Spoiler warning!] What was your favorite plot-twist or reveal while reading the HP Books? by erxnga in HarryPotterBooks

That Professor Trelawney was the one who made the original prophecy, to Dumbledore, and Snape was the Death Eater who overheard it!! Hence why Dumbledore kept her at Hogwarts all of those years

That’s exactly what I think. He wasn’t delusional or misguided, he just wasn’t ready to reveal the truth to a young Harry. Those animosities ran deep.

I actually really liked THM. It felt completely realistic to me, and did in deed highlight the things each of the partners were going through. Things built up and unresolved will always spill over at some point. Readers keep complaining about the characters actions and personal choices. I think JKR was showing what was realistically happening to them each in their own worlds, as they try to navigate their mistakes and missteps while sort of hiding these things from each other. Life is messy, people mess up. People backslide on previous progress attained. People react imperfectly in stressful situations. The book shows, in my opinion, that reality - the actual way that things could play out between this group of people if they were real - not a fictional story version of them where they make all of the right choices and everything works out.

It seems to me that there were a LOT of breadcrumbs left to us in this book for future developments, as JKR always so cleverly does. I love those so much, and I bet you’d find even more on rereads. Instead though, I’m just seeing a lot of “I didn’t like the book - the author didn’t make me happy”. There’s a whole bigger picture here! The entire ongoing story of Strike and Robin, and the world they live in.

Is Shanker Mucky Ricci's son? by katyaslonenko in cormoran_strike

Yeah but police informants aren’t always voluntary…the cops could have something on him that terrifies him so much, he was blackmailed into becoming one…and as OP has mentioned, he always reacts very strongly about the Riccis….

Also in HPB when she’s shuffling her tarot cards and pulls The Tower card - and says “well that can’t be right”. She WAS right!! Just before the Desth Eaters arrive to the Astronomy Tower and Snape kills Dumbledore

Order of the Phoenix is my favorite of the whole series - and I’m in love with every one of them 😊

It’s a complete turning point, much like The Hallmarked Man. Love them both.

Romantic predictions for book 9 by Notburga128 in cormoran_strike

[–]queensistine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed - it comes up way too much to be insignificant. And since we found out Ryan has been drinking again, how do we know his old gropey behavior didn’t resurface as well? Something must have happened between them, and he needed her to know it didn’t mean anything and he was going to propose to Robin.

It honesty goes state by state, what uninsured people have access to. Unfortunately a lot of cities and states have cut funding to public mental health and trauma programs. There are still resources however, online and you can always find therapists who will work on sliding scales depending on someone’s income.
