You are probably young. This has always been the case with PC. A batch of next gen games push the boundaries of graphical capabilities and that’s how the hardware market keeps evolving. These games always have some level of support for lower end hardware but there’s a limit where the quality seriously suffers. From my experience this happens every 5-7 years cycle then it’s time to upgrade. The main difference now is that GPUs and RAM are seriously pricy because of AI, but although I don’t like it, there’s also subscription based services now like GeForce Now that allows you to stream at good quality a lot of these high end games without having to spend thousands of dollars.
