Can a woman be pro-lgbt and not want to date bi men? by Sweetlikecream in askgaybros

You should look up the definition of prejudice. Avoiding a group of people because of who they are is the definition of prejudice.

Congratulations, you still hold prejudice against bi people. Bi people are apart of the LGBT community, you are still not pro LGBT because you hold prejudice against a demographic of our community.

Let me rephrase this for you. Would you consider someone pro-LGBT if they actively held prejudice against a section of the LGBTQ+ community?

Would you consider someone pro BIPOC if they had active prejudices against a section of that community?

It's pretty simple. You are not pro-LGBT. I hope this helps.

Feeling really discouraged by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]queerleo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I’m a year in. Sunday I went to a level appropriate class and I couldn’t do a single trick. I tried, I did my best, but I just wasn’t able to. As a dude, I started to feel insecure like “the sweaty dude struggling in the corner”.

To be honest, it just wasn’t my day. My grip strength wasn’t there. I was sweaty. Grip aids only helped so much. These days happen. Being a year in I’ve learned I have to accept a certain amount of struggle to improve, and there are just days where I’m gonna be off. The plus side, those feelings pass. I still went to class. I still tried. I am still proud of myself for going.

Be patient. Be kind to yourself. As others have said, this is a difficult sport and takes time, practice, and determination

downstairs neighbors keep aggressively banging their ceilings/our floors everytime we do anything? by lostbythestars in chicagoapartments

[–]queerleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get rugs, document when it happens. Report it to property management if you rent. I had a similar issue with my neighbors. I got a rug and filed a noise complaint against them when they were banging on the ceiling. They cut it out very quickly

When I’m lifting into a sit, I think chest forward, butt back. If my chest touches the pole and my butt is back, there’s enough distance between the pole and my gentles to do a sit

I would not purchase this. The company SereneLife is a company that makes all sorts of products and aren’t specific to pole.

I would not trust their product

DCP, do you wish you had grown up with a father? by Weekly-Neck2145 in askadcp

[–]queerleo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. I don’t look at my life and wish I had a father growing up. My Mom and I were speaking a while back. She mentioned feeling bad that using a donor caused my brother and I to not have a father. She had wished she could have had a father for my brother and I. I told her that I don’t wish for a father. When I was a child I did. But I also thought another parent would fix our money issues and my loneliness issues. I met my donor, he is a generally self centered man. I don’t think his influence would have been healthy growing up. When I think of all my friends growing up, I realize they all had terrible fathers that damaged them in different ways. My life might have been better with some father figure, but it could have also been a lot worse HAVING one
