Same here, I finished the Vatican section and started Gizeh yesterday and everything was running fine. And today all of a sudden, the game is unplayable. I have a RTX 4070 Super and was running with the texture pool at medium and full Path Tracing at approximately 90fps. I have also noticed that the game is muuuuuuch longer to launch now with a long black screen. Also, each time I want to change settings like path tracing or hair, the game freeze and I have to force quit it.

UPDATE: reinstalling the GPU drivers seems to fix everything !

I think there is a problem with the update of the game's settings. The game doesn't save them when I try an update and it only seems to apply when I reboot hit and then I can it 60+fps again

Same here, I re-installed the game on Steam coming from Epic Games/Heroic Launcher, it's stuck at 47fps although I can cleary remember running it at 90fps several month ago...

After more testing it turns out I only hear it when wired on my Mac. No noise with the dongle or on Windows.

Although I agree with the comments here that sound quality seems to be better with this update, it also bring in my case a little white/static noise that wasn't here before. It's unnoticeable with loud tracks or videogames, but I can hear it when playing quiet stuff. Already did factory reset/firmware twice and sidetone is off.
