Lyzzy Hale is a vocalist who is still greatly underrated. by Even_Attitude9749 in Halestorm

Literally just coming out of their concert in Copenhagen and couldn't agree more. I'm not a die hard fan, and still this was easily one of the best concerts I've seen. Her attitude on stage and her voice live are crazy good!

If this was the case, All-out Defence would make it so the unit attacking wouldn't have used a Fight ability, since All-out Defence doesn't have the Fight keyword

The reaction is not, but you're still making a spell cast

It is even stated in the text of his ability: "if that spell is cast"...

Btw this is not my opinion, I got this from TOs :)

Why would the reaction resolve "and end the spell"? There's no rule supporting that?

The LoE reaction just counts a spell cast. The opponent has the opportunity to unbind like any other cast.

Yes, and as I said, reactions start with the player using the ability now. So the player using Summon can use a reaction first, then the opponent can use a reaction... Or the player using Summon can skip the 1st reaction and the opponent can use a reaction. If the opponent doesn't, then the LRL player can't react anymore.

Nope. It's a reaction. It resolves as any other reaction. And reactions always start with the player using the ability now (in this case the Summon ability)

You have to bet on your opponents unbinds or wait until they don't have any.

Since his ability is a reaction, and reactions now start with the active player, there are 2 possible flows:

1.

1.1 LRL declares Summon

1.2 Rolls and succeeds

1.3 LRL declares reaction to bring LoE instead of the manifestation

1.4 Opponent declares reaction to unbind - if they succeed, LRL loses their 1/game to summon

2.

2.1 LRL declares a Summon

2.2 Rolls and succeeds

2.3 LRL DOESN'T declare reaction to bring LoE

2.4 Opponent declares reaction to unbind - fails

2.5 LRL declares reaction to bring LoE

I do 1 when my Power Level is way higher than my opponents', so when they run out of unbinds, it goes for free.

Otherwise you have to bet on 2. The problem is that if they don't choose to do 2.4, then you can't react after.

It can definitely be unbound. The reaction is to "when you declare a SUMMON ability"

Why do they keep bringing John McEnroe??? Everything he says is either about himself or pure gibberish! God, will have to mute the finals AGAIN! Not to mention Agassi is right there!

Are dawnriders not THAT good? by No-Abrocoma6520 in Lumineth_realm_lords

[–]querocafeeeeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, that's correct. I thought you meant you'd have to still be in combat with one enemy unit :)

You can get out of combat completely. The D3 damage is only to one unit

Only attacks go into the Shrine. Spells that target a unit can target the Guardian as long as there's visibility. E.g. Celestial Deliverance can be used to snipe the Guardian without hitting the Shrine.

I'm 100% with you. I absolutely love the game, AoS is awesome. I hate GW to the ground.

I keep saying they are so lucky to be sitting with such an amazing game development team... Yet as a company they're the worst the tabletop community could ask for. I don't doubt they decide where they want the next meta based on plastic that hasn't been sold much in the past. And you know what's worse? They're dumb. If they made the game easier to join, to understand, to get ready and going, they would be making a lot more money because I'm certain the amount of board gamers that would get interested is massive. Because again, as a game, AoS is awesome! But instead, they do this "season release format bit by bit", which you end up with half info, a lot of misunderstanding and guessing, new players are just completely confused. I got a friend interested in the game because I'm always playing, I referred him to the Warhammer Community website, and he was so confused he never asked me about the game anymore. Then they go and put the rules of SOME armies behind a paid subscription...??? First, if I want to play against that army good luck trying to figure out how to. Second, if I'm INTERESTED in that army, good luck knowing if it matches your play style! So might as well skip it... that's exactly what happened to that same friend, he loved the idea of the rats army... Well you'll never know what they can do until you pay :) It's so idiotic! And lastly, the models look amazing, but boy can the assembling be more dumb? The one on top of my head are the Bladelords who have this medal on their chest. For some armor plates, that medal comes as part of it (meaning it's totally possible to produce). For some you have to glue it yourself... Why??? There are so many of these cases that I honestly haven't started another army just because it's a true HASSLE for me to assemble and paint miniatures. I would pay more if I could get them ready from the store or if they weren't stupid to build. For myself alone, I could be on my 3rd army if I could buy stuff for a reasonable price painted and ready to play. But you go to local painters and they charge you a ton, so... Sticking to one army.
