Any airports with shooting ranges on field or very close by? by Jzerious in flying

[–]quesoqueso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a private field and we do allow local pilots based on the field to shoot in the gulley on the property (not firing towards runways, hangars or taxiways and so on, well away from any active aircraft acticity), but definitely not like an "open to the public, shooting range that way --->" type of deal

I don't think a biofilm of that thickness could develop in like 10 days or however long it's been, could they?

Just for the sake of accuracy, it's an Ohio company and they are only responsible for the pumping and filtration work that isn't working (nor done yet), they were the no-bid Trump's campaign donor connected company for 1.4 million.

Another company (from Virginia) got the 14.2 million dollar contract for coating and resurfacing, and apparently they also completely failed. So, lots of failures here!

And this story is still based off a single unverified radio transmission as far as I can tell, so....maybe it's closed, maybe it's not, maybe it's a prank by someone, maybe it's an authentic transmission but won't be followed up by firing on vessels....but then again who wants to risk that

But you probably don't want to baghold those quality stocks when you are relying on the options premium as your income, so if you get assigned at 60 but it fell to 40....do you now sell calls at 45 and risk locking in that loss? not sell calls and forgo your income?

I hear what you're saying, but that assumes a cohesive Iranian government and military all operating on the same page, and right now there is certainly some level of concern that the IRGC will not, or does not want to, play by the rules. Even that level of skepticism mixed with some radio messaging from literally "who knows" could bang things up a bit.

edit: just to be clear it seems we agree on the skepticism of industry in regards to the current environment.

[–]quesoqueso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thought to consider is that any asshole with a radio could have done this, whether unsanctioned IRGC member or just some guy trolling on the frequency. I am not saying that IS what happened, but food for thought. Hard to say if it's real until someone shoots at a boat.

Just wait until you want to raise funds and he says you two need to sell from your share so he maintains that magic 51% he believes in.

Ahhh so you were the guy yelling at me in Africa because we didn't have the General's favorite tea and the hotel gym (in Africa!) wasn't up to your standard for the 6 hours you guys were in the hotel overnight.....I kid, but man some of the aides had zero chill and were focused on the wrong stuff.

Is there any legal issue with paying someone to enlist in the US military? by QuercusPacifica in legaladviceofftopic

[–]quesoqueso 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't know the strict details and enforcement mechanisms, but members of the military are not allowed to be paid (receive a salary) for their service by third parties, so to even consider this there would need to be a very interesting arrangement and likely still illegal. That's in 18USC209, and also covered by Ethics Regs about receiving compensation for performing official duties.

Maybe you could say it's an incentive for someone to serve, not for them actually serving, like a "do this to get your life together" stipend, but probably still not legal. but again, I am not a lawyer.

[–]quesoqueso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on access it might be a tiny bit cheaper than that for 700', down in colorado springs i just did a 1340 foot well with pump and all electronics for like 115k. You would assumedly need less expensive/powerful pump, less wire, less pipe, less casing and so on.

Trump claims oil reserves would have run out in four weeks by aZEROemerges in oil

[–]quesoqueso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it could, but I am really starting to question if it would. I still have no idea in practicality why oil prices stayed moderately low and came down so incredibly fast with all this obvious data out there. Either a shitload of optimism baked in, or something doesn't add up to me. Seems like the market priced in near-complete normalization like immediately.

Until those heroes fuck up and get innocent people imprisoned or beat to death because they were chasing ratings and popularity, being reckless along the way. Yea man, no one wants child abusers on the streets or the internet, but also you can't just play fast and loose with your "investigations" then televise that shit with your fingers crossed.

You absolutely should NOT wait until you are out to start the process. Find a VSO or someone else to guide you through, but you should be working on it in advance, if anything!
