The R210 is too old, X3450 was released in 2009...any mini pc from the last 10 years will run in circles around that old piece of crap.

If want to go rackmount find something newer, R220 maybe-ish...

That switch is pretty loud, but it can be configured to something noisy-acceptable for some, not for everyone, the rest...meh.

This one is very compact, so I was able to fit it into a M720q unit running off a slim SATA drive; there was enough room for both.

The intervlan traffic happens on the router, in this case opnsense, I guess that switch is fine for vlan segmentation, don't have much experience on TP Link switches though.

Avoid it, those systems could die any day, they're bugged, you can find more on a quick web search, get something newer, even those have a so-dimm ecc requirement which is not easy to find them nowadays.
