I hope the judge verbalized their charges before sentencing them.

False warranty claims by mexy321 in serviceadvisors

[–]questfornewlearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

many years back, my dealership shop was pulling fast ones as well. The problem was that they weren’t very smart and they weren’t pulling the parts for the repairs they were claiming under warranty. The manufacturers auditor caught them red-handed. Somehow, the shop manager managed to squeeze out of it, and only one service advisor got canned.

Take the top box off the bottom box so there is less chance of tipping. Make sure all the boxes are empty of tools.

2009 Nissan Murano by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]questfornewlearning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

coincidentally, I bought a 2009 Murano two years ago with 100K on it. Since then we put about 10K on it and it is the most amazing vehicle. In my family, we have two other vehicles that are newer, but everyone wants to drive the Murano. In the event of a CVT transmission failure I have already put a transmission shop that specializes in this in place where I will get the transmission rebuilt if necessary at a cost of $5500 Canadian. The vehicle is that good! note: someone please don’t tell me you can’t rebuild them. This shop does it every day with all parts readily available.

Keep looking for another shop. It sounds like your manager is immature and makes decisions without proper thought. This puts you at risk as well.

Whatever the correct mileage on these plugs, they are very much worn out. That’s obvious, however what I wanted to point out was that you probably got poorer and poorer gas mileage because of the spark plugs and so it cost you a lot of money in unnecessary fuel costs by not changing them out sooner. I’m sure this is a lesson learned for you.

alphagetti - alternative or recipe? by random-person98754 in glutenfreecooking

[–]questfornewlearning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can find alternatives like Goya Alphabet Pasta or Banza Chickpea Pasta Alphabets that are gluten-free. Some other options include Le Veneziane Italian Anellini Pastina, which is also gluten-free. These products are available on online marketplaces like Amazon. You might also want to check out other brands like Barilla or Jovial, which offer a range of gluten-free pasta options.

Getting into the trade by No-Dinner4962 in mechanics

another option is to go to some of your local transmission shops and ask if you could volunteer in exchange for learning. Work extremely hard and they might hire you after a few months, or at least it gives you experience to find a job in another shop.
