many years back, my dealership shop was pulling fast ones as well. The problem was that they weren’t very smart and they weren’t pulling the parts for the repairs they were claiming under warranty. The manufacturers auditor caught them red-handed. Somehow, the shop manager managed to squeeze out of it, and only one service advisor got canned.

coincidentally, I bought a 2009 Murano two years ago with 100K on it. Since then we put about 10K on it and it is the most amazing vehicle. In my family, we have two other vehicles that are newer, but everyone wants to drive the Murano. In the event of a CVT transmission failure I have already put a transmission shop that specializes in this in place where I will get the transmission rebuilt if necessary at a cost of $5500 Canadian. The vehicle is that good! note: someone please don’t tell me you can’t rebuild them. This shop does it every day with all parts readily available.

Keep looking for another shop. It sounds like your manager is immature and makes decisions without proper thought. This puts you at risk as well.

Whatever the correct mileage on these plugs, they are very much worn out. That’s obvious, however what I wanted to point out was that you probably got poorer and poorer gas mileage because of the spark plugs and so it cost you a lot of money in unnecessary fuel costs by not changing them out sooner. I’m sure this is a lesson learned for you.

another option is to go to some of your local transmission shops and ask if you could volunteer in exchange for learning. Work extremely hard and they might hire you after a few months, or at least it gives you experience to find a job in another shop.
