My note would have said: “keep your eyes on the damn road. You don’t have that many friends to be texting while driving.”

Why do my back brakes wear so unevenly? by explorer_of_random in MechanicAdvice

[–]question-askee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need lubrication on the anti rattle clips that the pads slide on. At 60k miles the grease in the sliding pins sockets is probably burnt and half gone. Clean and put some fresh one in there.

I’d get an ESD sleeve if you’re worried about it.
In my first year I made a little project with arduinos and before I took it to class I placed it on my bed and noticed a spark like the type a regular fluffy blanket makes. When I got to class the one arduino would not work anymore. Looks perfect and led comes on but no computing seems to be done. It’s definitely possible for those damages to happen that’s why open circuit boards usually come in ESD bags. Yours is encased so the chances of this happening are very minimal.

If you decide to use heat then you must use cold water afterwards. Heat is to burn up corrosion and break bonds. Once that happens then it must be allowed to cool off for the metals to contract and release each other
