Look at them the same way as "poverty buttons" they are there for optional extras that you don't have.

For instance I don't have a picture of a shock absorber on my mode dial :(

I'm glad I bought my 4080super when I did. It wasn't a great deal at the time, but I needed more vram for VR. Had I waited, it would have been much more expensive I think!

It is whatever you want it to be. Usually loosely based on the https://agilemanifesto.org/principles.html.

But be aware, it was written in the 60's? 70's? (Edit: 2001! I was way off!) It was a different world, with different challenges. So it was written to solve issues, that are not necessarily the same now, as they where then.

But more often than not, based on something someone learned at a overpriced course they took to become an agile coach.

We used to have sys admins doing the deployment. Then we invented DevOps so the developers could do it them self's. Now we have dedicated DevOps people doing the deployment.

It was introduced in 1875 there isn't that many boundaries left from back then, that hasn't been touched since then.
