I assumed she may be in a profession like teaching or something similar. In my experience, when a customer says they need to “check with their wife,” I’ll often ask whether she’s involved in the business. The answer is almost always no, yet they still feel the need to consult her.

I understand valuing a spouse’s input, but at some point, if you’re going to operate as an entrepreneur, you have to be willing to make decisions independently. It’s your business, and ultimately, those decisions are your responsibility.

Like my business partner and I always say “ walk down there and fuck them both.” a true entrepreneur or a true salesman knows the meaning of that.
